‘Hilton’ used to mean something special. The advertisement said ‘Pool’, Restaurant.
The pool was 10 x 16, literally the smallest pool I have ever seen at a hotel. All the pool furniture was sunbaked and un inviting.
The ‘Restaurant produced a quality buffet for breakfast but lunch and dinner were a limited affair of prepackaged items in to go containers.
One of the two elevators was out of service the entire week we booked. No problem at noon on Tuesday but the weekends were a horrid affair of 5 floors of guests going for breakfast or checking out and in. Spend a buck!
The door latch locking mechanisms were so loud that you could hear every guest on the floor come back to their room when the door slammed shut.
Beds were comfortable and house keeping was efficient but you had to call the front desk for more toilet paper and drinking cups. Sign posted said housekeeping would not resupply during cleaning?
So change the name at least to The Shmilton so I don’t expect a quality you can’t deliver.
