"Gorgeous room and premises ... immaculately clean... hosts were just lovely... would highly recommend... all little things thought of and my dairy alkergy accommodated even had a small flask of oat milk for the room ... amazing breakfast not just taste but presentation also... it would be hard to beat... Fab location in proximity to the Shopping outley which us walkable and also The Blacksmiths at Gretna Green for weddings ... Thanks for a great stay xx"

"Room was fine, tea and coffee wasn't very nice and no complementary biscuits. No magnifying mirror in the bathroom. States Brompton however 8 miles away. Bed was really uncomfortable. Evening meal was nice, 10% surcharge on you bill! Wine expenses! Breakfast was so so. Waited a long time for someone to come to the checkin fest on arrival and departure. Probably would try an alternative hotel "

"It’s the perfect stay to stop just off the M6 when driving from Scotland to England. It’s a beautifully decorated pub, with lovely staff and excellent breakfast and dinner. This time our ferry was cancelled from Mull and so we had to change the booking at the last moment. They were understanding and there was no problem rolling over the booking until we could get off the island. We will be forever loyal to this wonderful stop just south of Penrith. "
