Grace's Retreat - 10 minutes from I-65

Escape to a lakeside retreat only 10 minutes from I-65 Exit 305 on Smith Lake in Cullman, Alabama. Relax with your friends and family on the deck while watching your favorite sport on the 70'' flat screen television through the open garage door or with the screens in place. Or watch the sunset from the observation deck above the swim pier.



This unique commercially designed home includes two bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The home can sleep one to six comfortably. The home features an open and large family room, kitchen and dining area. The kitchen is equipped with stainless appliances, granite countertops and with ice/water dispenser in the refrigerator. The home has been professionally decorated by an interior designer.



The home features two large insulated glass garage doors that can be opened for open-air and screens that remotely lower to create a completely screened-in porch for the entire home.



The home is located within five minutes of Smith Lake Park, with free boat launch and is directly across from Smith Lake Marina.


Now Offering! An optional 2018 SouthBay pontoon boat rental for guests of Grace's Retreat and Little's on the Lake. (Available Seasonally)

The house is located 100 feet from Grace's Retreat and can be rented with Grace's Retreat to accommodate up to 18 people or separately for 10-12 guests. The host was great & very quick to respond when we needed help unlocking & shifting thermostat from heat to air (it was unseasonably warm outside for late Nov). Kitchen was well equipped for cooking & had everything we needed. It was just us & another couple staying & was perfect for low key, relaxing weekend indoors. Parking is a little tight at the house (especially turning around in larger vehicle); however it did mention additional parking was available at front of the road. Overall enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

Smith Lake is our happy place, so we take trips there often. This is by far our favorite house so far! We will definitely be back. This house is beautiful and so comfortable. We had everything we needed and more. Very relaxing and enjoyable vacation!

Grace's Retreat met all our expectations. Our host communicated with use before and during our stay. Check-in was as simple as a text message and email. The layout is perfect for a weekend or month at the lake, with two King Suites that are clean and comfortable. The kitchen has everything needed to prepare meals, with spacious dining inside or on the deck overlooking the lake. There is a paved road that is fairly steep from the house down to the steps that lead to the dock. We walked the short roadway down and up several times a day to fish from the dock (we are both in our Sr years) and were a little winded, but we had fun. We managed to catch loads of Orange speckled Sunfish, Bluegills, Bass and a 4 pounds Catfish. So, bring your tackle and fish the back of the dock at dawn and dusk.We highly recommend Grace's Retreat.

Perfect for proximity to Cullman

This is a wonderful property with great lake views andthe perfect decor for the lake. I brought my 98 yr oldmother and daughter to bring my mom back to Cullman,her hometown for over 60 years. Perfect spot for us.This is the third time for us here.

Nearly perfect.

This is a lovely home. It is spacious and airy and the deck is wonderful. But it is not user friendly for older folks to get to the dock. And any one who has a mobility issue would not want to attempt it. The trees have grown up and block the view of the lake. There are plenty of seating options and the king size beds are very comfortable.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful property, and it exceeded all our expectations! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the stunning views and tranquil surroundings. The house itself is a true gem, elegantly decorated and equipped with every comfort you could wish for. Each seat and bed was incredibly cozy, making it feel like our home away from home. One of the highlights of our stay was spending an entire day down at the dock fishing. It was a wonderful way to bond as a family and enjoy the peaceful beauty of the area. The serenity of the location provided the perfect escape from our busy lives. We appreciated the thoughtful touches from the owner, like the book of local restaurant menus and information available by the front door. We loved ordering delicious food through DoorDash from Hardee’s, and we were pleased to discover that Walmart delivery was available too, adding to our convenience. Hearing the ducks on the lake and taking in the fantastic views from the porch added to the charm of our stay. We made countless wonderful memories, and we’re already looking forward to returning in the summer. If you’re seeking a perfect getaway, this property is an absolute must!
