Welcome to The Loft at The Fruit of the Spirit!
Hi! I’m Diana and my husband Brent and I lovingly finished this loft with attention to every detail. We ran a family remodeling business in Ohio for 25 years and are now moving to Cub Run to build this beautiful retreat center and work the land full-time. This loft is above our first barn, (which will eventually have a little storefront) and our first cabin is now available up the road on this property and we are so excited to share it with you! We owned a vacation rental down the street and sold it with the goal of building two cabins. We are now in the process of building our second cabin, which is going to be awesome, with a glass garage door in the kitchen and a sauna on the patio. We are also building a venue barn that will house a workout room, game/gathering room, a large kitchen and more!


Once complete, we plan to host small events, family gatherings and retreats. Our goal is to give back 10% to churches that choose Fruit of the Spirit Cabins and Retreat Center for their events and retreats.

There are a lot of vacation rentals popping up in the area, but as previous guests have told us, NONE compare to our amenities, cleanliness and amazing property! Come and see it for yourself, and if we are around, we’ll even take your for a tour in our sxs :)


Nestled among the rolling acres of Amish farms all around, please drive slowly as there are often buggies and Amish on foot, who will always wave hello, so be sure to do the same:)

We have plenty of room to park boats and toys!! Centrally located with boat ramp right down at the end of our road, 8 miles to Blue Holler ATV park, 11 miles to Nolin Lake State Park, and 45 minutes to the Mammoth Cave visitor center if you take the ferry, always call first, Green River Ferry Hotline at (270) 758-2166) Come get away from it all and discover God's country!

The description of the property online only gave a glimpse of how wonderful this place is. The owner had multiple trails cut through the acreage. My wife and I hiked the area to a beautiful waterfall. The loft we stayed in had more than enough amenities, including a medic bag. The area is situated around an Amish community. The area was quite peaceful and we would highly recommend this place.

What a great place full of adventures. We ended up arriving a little early, the owners were still there and offered to take us around to see the property. Showed us where the best places to hike were.Had everything we needed to relax and tool around for a couple of days.

We had an amazing time exploring the area and the property. The host went above and beyond when there was a freak cold front and the original rental had frozen pipes. She immediately moved us to another cabin and was so helpful with groceries & restaurants in the area. The cabin was well built and fully stocked with anything we might need. Would highly recommend this host and this property. Leave a full day to explore.

The loft itself was cute and immaculately clean. The bed was soft and comfy, the shower nice and hot, and the kitchen provided everything we needed during our stay. Diana and her family were amazing hosts who kept in contact with us, offering rides on the side-by-side and other activities on the property. The property itself? Gorgeous!! So much to see! We will definitely be back.

This place is a true gem! We enjoyed hiking the picturesque forest trails and breathtaking stargazing in the lovely fall weather. Wishing we had at least one more night in this majestic loft, which has everything you need for perfect relaxation!✨

We enjoyed our time at the Loft! We spent some time hiking to the waterfall, and it had all of the amenities we needed for cooking meals. It is geographically close to the national park, but just be mindful it is about a 40 minute drive to get there. We enjoyed being away from the crowds at the park and would pick staying here again!

We had planned to go to Florida for our anniversary but hurricane Milton had other plans. We had to quickly change our plans and this little loft was the perfect place to stay and getaway. The area is so beautiful and at night you can see so many stars! A little farther from mammoth caves than it says but over all a great trip!

The pictures provided of the hiking adventure are just nowhere near actually seeing these cliffs and small caves in person. This is a must see! If you are willing to look at the map and follow the trails giving and walk off the path at sometimes. You better be ready to be amazed.also if you are here go to mammoth cave and take a tour. Make sure to make reservations Would definitely come back here.

The property was wonderful. Very clean with everything you could need. Was a little farther than expected to the visitor center of Mammoth park, but was worth the extra time to be in a peaceful, relaxing environment after busy days at the park.

We wished we had more time to stay! The hosts have created a very comfortable, unique retreat where you can relax and observe the beautiful surroundings or explore the awesome property’s natural gifts: caves, rock formations, creeks, … The rental fit all of our “filters” in our search for a place where we could access: Mammoth Cave National Park, Green River ferry, hiking, nearby swimming, and s x s riding. We intend to return with more of our family, adding other accommodations that the hosts are preparing for more guests. This is a remarkable find!

This was such a relaxing place, very homey and Diane had the placed so stocked , I’ve stayed at many of the VRBO this was probably # 1 seriously!! The area was very safe and quite just beautiful! The loft is a perfect home base for activities in the Mammoth Cave area. Take the Green River Ferry to the park - it saves a lot of time. The loft was immaculate. The hosts are great. we didn’t walk around the property too much since it was so muddy. I am going back and I will be sure to check out the waterfall.

Lovely, quiet area, easy to find. Checkin was easy as pie and the place was extremely clean and cute. Location was great, 40 minute drive to cave city/ mammoth cave visitor center was scenic. We were not able to find any of the cool scenic places on property, but enjoyed some lovely walks and would absolutely stay here again!
