Large Cabin with Stunning View - Fire Pit, Relax & Unwind

Get away and recuperate! Nestled in the trees high above the water, the Overlook Cabin offers a peaceful, comfortable, and intimate experience of the Ohio River, with a large riverfront window, 8x12ft deck, & jacuzzi bathtub. The 12x40ft space has a queen bed, two twins, and a couch, and would be great for families, hunters, or couples. Dogs/cats welcome. Cabins are stocked with complimentary locally-sourced coffee. There is a large outdoor area for kids to play or for a picnic or campfire, a gas grill available, climbing dome, and a path down to the river for hiking or fishing (the path is a little rocky). Lots of hiking/hunting in the area, about four miles from a boat launch (KH Butler), and 10-15-minutes from a cute little town. Free parking on site. Free wifi. Smart TV & DVD player available. Owners live onsite should any issues arise.

We checked in late and it was dark. Host responded to our text, came to help us if needed. I didn't see a hot tub... and there was no breakfast. I read somewhere there was but it's ok. The place allows family to all rest in one area together, which with kids is great. The river is pretty. Also it has 1 full or queen, 1 bunk bed. And a loft which is high up appropriate for a teen. And a small couch, not big enough to sleep on. So truly this would sleep 4-5. Unless you had a small kid ok to sleep on couch. I would go back :) they did have little snacks on the microwave like granola bars and a small coffee pot. Cute place, I'd love to see it in the summer. This is a good review not negative. You should check it out.
This is the loft area where my teen slept. The 3 yr old was brave but had to come back down.

We had a fine time staying in your Cedar Cabin! All the amenities were as promised, no shortages and some in excess! Everything worked exactly as it should. The view from the deck on the back of the cabin was quite enjoyable; watching the riverboats and barges cruise up and down the Ohio River was fascinating (our dog enjoyed being out there too : ) ! You and Gina were wonderful, and oh the breakfasts Gina made were delicious. My Wife and i would come back for those if for nothing else. I also recommend the City of Gallipolis and surrounding area; if you're looking to get away from the bustle of the big cities this is a great place to do so, many interesting attractions and don't miss dinner at the Tuscany Italian Restaurant, very good fare. We absolutely recommend a stay at your wonderful gem of a getaway. Blessings on you and yours, Marc and Susan.

Our stay was wonderful. The cabin was very clean and quaint. Breakfast brought to our door in the morning was a nice touch. We went to visit the Mothman Museum which was beautiful easy 30 minute drive. It was exactly what we were looking for at a great price. Communication was great as soon as I made the reservation. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice quiet place to stay. There is an "industrial" area right across the river which gave off a constant hum but, it didn't really bother me much. And the patio on the back overlooking the Ohio river was the perfect place to enjoy breakfast and have a morning coffee.
The porch was spotless. Not a cobweb or bird poop to be found.

Upon first arriving, it was a little iffy. Don't let the road view fool you. Even though the grass and landscaping needed a little sprucing up, the cabin was spotless. Cute and comfy. The bed was super comfortable, the whirlpool tub was fantastic, but the balcony was my favorite. Quiet and breezy, and where we had our complimentary coffee. Great coffee. It's not a bad drive to Gallipolis, though we only ventured there to walk around the city park, which is nice. We opted for the communal grill for dinners. There's also a park nearby called Raccoon Creek, and it was super nice—lots of open space and walking trails. The path down to the river could have been trimmed back, but it was still an easy trek. The dogs loved the river, though a way to hose them off after would be a great addition, just a simple water hose. The host and staff were awesome and very helpful, but so was the amazing neighbor. Now, the breakfast part of this bed and breakfast is enough of a reason to stay here. If you don't want to stay for the cozy, comfortable cabin, the whirlpool tub, the river, the quiet breezy balcony, or the town and parks in the area, then stay for the breakfast; you won't be disappointed. All in all, it was a great place to stay with nice people in a quiet area. 10 outta 10 would stay again.

A wonderful in the middle of nowhere kind of place. And wonderful Jacuzzi style tub!We also forgot our mothman shirts at the property and they are working to mail them to us. Wonderful hosts.

Nice experience

Suoer friendly host and staff! A very comfortable and unique cabin overlooking the Ohio River where we watched the barges pushing their loads. The homecooked breakfast delivered to the cabin in the morning was a nice perk. And we appreciated finding that welcomed our pets.

Clean and quiet

The cottage was so cute. Very clean and had everything we needed. Coffee, creamer, bottled water, plastic silverware and plates, paper towels, seasoning, extra blankets and towels and wash clothes. Also soap and shampoo and cream rinse. Very private and quiet except for the occasional tug boat or loud vehicle driving by. Loved the deck facing the water. The free breakfast was nice and right on time every day. The manager was very polite and friendly and offered to get anything we needed. The parking lot was a little small for parking a pontoon boat but they informed everyone to park at one end so we had the other and it worked out. My only suggestion would be better lawn care, and weeding. Could be such a cute lawn area to spend time. We would definitely come back!!

Amazing lil bnb!!

I sadly only stayed here for one night. I will definitely come back if I come through the area again. Truly, this is a great spot to rest and recharge. The cabin itself is super cute, comfy beds, super clean. I had the most restful sleep I’ve had in a while. The breakfast that was included was HUGE and very tasty. The hosts! They were great, super easy to reach. They answered my questions pretty much as soon as I’d asked, and were nearby in case I needed anything. I don’t have kids, but not pictured is a common outdoor area that had some picnic tables and playground equipment that I suspect your kids may like.

I liked how responsive the owners are and how quiet it is. The breakfasts are amazing - they give you a menu and bring it to your door when you want and it tastes great! The only downside is when it's super cold out, the floor gets cold, but they do run space heaters in addition to the regular heater and even put down extra rugs. The cabin is on stilts since it's right on the river so I think some insulation under the floor would make it perfect!
