We spent two days in the house and had an amazing time. The house is clean, nicely designed, has a very well equipped kitchen and offers beautiful views. Kids had fun playing outside and adults enjoyed the hot tub. Dan is a very responsive host. We would definitely go back!

Everything was really nice. High end everything inside the cabin and very comfortable. It is very remote and we saw a bear when we were there. Hot tub clean, fun amenities. Cabin itself was great. Only feedback is that the damage deposit they charge at reservation was very high (1500) and took forever to get back. Maybe lower that deposit?

This property was absolutely gorgeous! Very clean. Very private. Lovely nature all around. Hot tub was hot and perfectly functional. Grill was clean and also functioned well. Washer and dryer clean and newer model. We would for sure stay here again if in the area! Host was always prompt to respond and informative.

We enjoyed this place so much. We picked it specifically for star gazing in mind (dark sky) and it was perfect for that. But we also just enjoyed the backyard play structure, hot tub and backyard seating areas. Really nice and clean place inside - all around the entire family enjoyed it and we’ll be back sometime in the future.

The property is lovely and in a beautiful remote feeling location. The kitchen is well supplied and house was as described in the listing. It's very family friendly and has cute decor. We had a beautiful view of the stars when the sky was clear, though the mosquitoes did limit how much time we wanted to spend enjoying the outdoor features of the property. It's well located for family activities, we drove an hour and visited the sand dunes, Zapata Falls, and Colorado Gators all in the same area in one day. We enjoyed our time at the A-Frames!
View of the UFO playhouse from the mini-A-frame. Our kids are a bit old for the playhouse but had a great time sitting in it like a fort while they enjoyed the backyard wireless connection.

Absolutely gorgeous location to appreciate the stars from the hot tub! Loved making smores after using the grill. The game room was great after a long day at the dunes for the little ones. Coffee set up is amazing for the adults. Would love to come back!

Exceptional!

This is truly an exceptional property. It is unique in design. Hot tub, pergola with table and chairs and playground are a great bonus. Beds were comfortable. Plenty of towels. The kitchen was very well stocked. Being remote is part of the charm. We will definitely stay again.

Five Stars for this Perfect Family Retreat!

We had an unforgettable stay at the A-Frame in Moffat/Crestone, CO. The views were absolutely breathtaking—majestic mountains on one side and open plains on the other. The home itself was spotless and incredibly well-stocked, especially the kitchen, which had every tool we could possibly need. The layout was spacious and thoughtfully designed, making it perfect for our family with three young children.The warm, natural decor made the space feel cozy and inviting—our kids kept calling it our "home away from home." The yard was a dream for outdoor adventuring, and the highlight for our children was the amazing UFO play space. They spent hours there every day!It can be hard to find places that feel truly kid-friendly, but this one hit the mark in every way. We felt comfortable, welcome, and right at home. The host was responsive, helpful, and an absolute delight to communicate with throughout our stay. Highly recommend to any families looking for a peaceful and fun getaway.

Great House (still 1 hour from Sand Dunes)

The house was absolutely incredible, beautifully decorated and thoughtfully set up to create a truly enjoyable experience. The layout was spacious and functional, and it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Just a heads up: while it’s a great location, it is about an hour from the Great Sand Dunes, though the town of Crestone itself has a charming restaurant and a well-stocked grocery store.The only downside was the communication with the host, which felt a bit impersonal. Messages I sent sharing details about our dog, the reason for our stay, and letting them know when we checked out went unanswered. The only response came when a review was requested. I even informed them that a package had arrived and where we placed it, but again, no acknowledgment. When asking about check in time it was additional fees to check in earlier. Improving responsiveness and warmth in communication would make the experience even better.

Great get away!

This property was better than expected. The owner thought of everything, amenities for every age. The layout was extremely comfortable for our larger group. The owner also was quick to respond to the few questions I had. I highly recommend the property for a quiet get away fairly close to outside adventures.

Wonderful Location and Stay

Secluded mountain stay

This was an impeccable property. The cleanliness, the accommodations, the outdoor fire pit and hot tub. So much fun. Be aware it’s really secluded even for crestone. We were looking for some down time to hang a bit during a road trip and this was the perfect couple days to check out the quirky community of crestone, and the great sand dunes. Loved this place.

This A-frame was a worthy destination on its own

Beautiful new A-frame house full of amenities. Great for a large family or 3-4 single adults. Fully stocked kitchen, lots of games and activities. We enjoyed the starry dark sky from the hot tub that was ready to go after simply removing the cover! As the property manager said, "Just bring food, everything else is provided". Enjoyed watching rabbits and deer from the large picture windows. We enjoyed the drives to the Great Sand Dunes (about an hour) and the Sand Dune Recreation area. Very enjoyable stay!
