Cozy Quiet Year-Round Cottage on the Lake w/ Hot Tub

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful cottage year-round. Sleeps 7+ pull-out couch. Close to the city! The cabin is waterfront in the quiet village of Sandy Beach, AB. Enjoy sunsets on the deck, spend time on the water, relax in the hot tub, outdoor seating areas or explore the forest. Paddle boards, pedal boat and kayak are available to rent during your stay. Bring your ATVs as there is a community forest across from the house with trails and acres to enjoy! Fun for the whole family! Waterfront property just steps away from acres of forest for your enjoyment year-round. Great for a quiet escape from the city, relaxing and enjoying the beautiful scenery, ATVs, skidoos, hiking, snow shoeing and cross country skiing.

There are 3 bedrooms, two with queen size beds and one with a bunk bed and trundle bed to sleep 3. The main area is open concept with a fully equipped kitchen, dining room and living room. The couch coverts into an additional sleeping space as a hide-a-bed. There are 1.5 bathrooms, a tub/shower combination. Laundry also on site.

Enjoy the morning sun in the front yard which is gated from all sides, relax in the hammock enjoying the forest and flower gardens. The backyard has a large deck equipped with a barbecue. There is a beautiful cast iron stove to enjoy fires right on the deck. There is comfortable seating to relax, enjoy the fire, take in the beautiful lakefront scenery, eat and enjoy each other’s company! This opens to a large green space with a fire pit near the patio off the boathouse. There is a quiet, resident-maintained sandy beach right off the boathouse

There is a 6-person Hot Tub off the back deck for optimal relaxation while enjoying the beautiful surroundings day or night. The Hot Tub is offered year-round with beautiful views of the quiet lake and west-facing sunsets!

We have a 16 foot by 48 inch above ground pool to cool off on hot summer days. **** seasonal pool setup is weather dependent — generally above 10 degrees Celsius overnight temperatures consistently **** .

The backyard opens up to the waterfront where you can watch sunsets, relax on the patio, cool off in the pool, enjoy the beach, the view and wildlife or access the water off our dock for non-motor sports such as kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding or skating and ice hockey in the winter months. We have a dock which allows for easier water access. The lake is a bird lovers paradise, many species to observe, hear their beautiful sounds and enjoy! Bring your own non-motorized water equipment to launch right off the beach or rent *** our paddle boards, pedal boat or one person kayak.
*** we do not provide firewood for outdoor fires, we can provide outdoor wood for a fee with one week notice otherwise please plant bring your own.

We have rented this Sandy Lake cabin for a couple of years now. Every time we have come we feel like it's home. It's a beautiful cabin and the view out the living room window of the lake is so beautiful in the morning, and the evening, sunrise and sunset. You have everything you need to spend a comfortable few nights with friends or family. And the hot tub is a bonus. I recommend you stay and enjoy some relaxation.

My family and I wanted a place to relax and spend time together without everyday burden of housework and all the distractions. This was a great place for just that! We spent lots of time in hot tub, made a fire in the fireplace & played board games. My kids want to come back in summer with a few cousins to try out the pool and lake.

A lovely 2 dsys to hide away before Christmas in the deep freeze. The cabin was just whst we needed and was clean, cozy and well appointed. Hot tub was toasty despite the cold. We'd happily come back.

I know we stayed midweek but we so enjoyed the peace and quiet which allowed us to hear the birds and watch the muskrats paddle around. We appreciated the many comfortable places to sit and relax outside and the fact that despite the oppressive heat the cabin was very comfortable. Short drive to get to a perfect getaway!

We were looking for a place close to the city, but far enough to get away from city life- this place is absolutely AMAZING. The sun sets at the back of the cabin- perfect for sunset watching. Everything is extremely clean and the beds are extra comfortable. Highly recommend this place. Thank you for having us!

There were 4 of us - women's weekend away and this is our 3rd time being here. Sara & Randy are excellent hosts, and are an instant phone call away when we have a question or need anything. Our stay is always so relaxing and fun, and the hot tub is a bonus. We have a beautiful view of the lake, a large deck and the cabin is exactly what we need for the 4 of us. We are scrapbookers and will continue coming back. Everything we need is here. Thank you Sara and Randy for letting us stay in your beautiful lake cabin.

The cottage was a perfect location for a weekend getaway!!! It was perfect for relaxing, cooking, watching the sunset from the hot tub - nothing was missing. Everything we needed was there with clean, comfortable rooms, a full kitchen and a fantastic view. We will be back and can't wait till we can take in the peace and quiet. Sara was a perfect hostess and a pleasure to deal with. Full marks and highly recommended destination!!!

Beautifully appointed, quiet, comfortable, relaxing. Visited during winter season and especially enjoyed luxuriating in the hot tub. Kitchen was perfect and well stocked for cooking meals and even doing some Christmas baking. Host was clear and instructions were simple. Would definitely come back!

The location, amenities, and property are exactly as presented. The host left very clear instructions, and check-in was extremely easy. Unfortunately, both my husband and I were sensitive to the air freshener used (who knew?), and were unable to enjoy the property for as long as we had planned. This is no fault of the host's. Just an FYI to anyone who may have scent sensitivities.

Definitely the cutest cabin on Sandy Beach! Sara, the host, is thoughtful and the special welcome gift was much appreciated. The cabin has everything you need for a quiet getaway. It was so peaceful out back, listening to the birds and having a fire. When the rain came, it was lovely and cozy sitting inside by the fire and watching movies and playing games that are provided. Coming from BC, the actual lake isn’t what I expected but that’s just my opinion. I highly recommend staying here and can’t thank Sara enough for making our special getaway exactly what we were looking for! I’d definitely go back!

We had an amazing time at this location! Pool was great for the kids, and the trail riding was awesome! Very clean, comfortable and homey. Hosts responses were very quick, and they go above and beyond to ensure their guests are comfortable. VERY peaceful ; we were there during the week, bird watching was awesome… couldn’t ask for a better place! We will definitely be booking this VRBO again!! Thank you!!!
