First off, on expedia website and booking it was advertised as cancun and or close proximity to cancun. That was very far from the truth. I also specifically put in the search filter all inclusive resort and booked under the impression that was what i would've received upon arriving. Never have had a problem with booking on expedia it usually is what is posted on the site. Did research beforehand to just to be sure logistics for arrival to find out the hotel because to me it should not be listed under the resort title was 4 hours away by a bus ride a train ride and a taxi ride to get to the hotel $300 usd later. No all inclusive amenities dated then be told to get upgraded to inclusive not all is $280usd per day more to get that consistently as i read in the reviews the truth hid in the website way down. It my wife's birthday and our anniversary new year's eve no activities the town shuts down after the cruise ships leave and it's n.y.e as well ghost town nothing but wind moving. I paid for 7 days no refund or customer service for what is going on. Room is hard Murphys bed damp everywhere the staff changed the shower curtain tried to make it right. Front desk and other staff not accommodating at all! The security guard was cool and helpful. We left 5 days early went to the riu resort and had an amazing experience. Do not go to el cied hotel. Side eyeing expedia website too. It was somewhat my fault not being more informed. I usually try to make the most or don't do reviews. B
