"OMG! We just loved Chongos Place! The cabins are so cute and beautiful, clean with all necessities. The porch with the hammock was just our favorite place. The plants right outside the porch invite these beautiful hummingbirds and butterflies that we got to observe up close! And the pool was amazing, we spend hours in it each day. "The perspective of Vulcan Arenal was perfect from this perfectly situated property. Great food ranging from Costa Rican to international, available throughout the day. I preferred their salt water pool to staying at a different resort which featured thermal pools- then we chose to drive back to eat here once more- so good. Just know in advance that you may not drive to your room; must take a jitney."

"This 2 story rental villa has a great view of Volcan Arenal from the second story. It overlooks a farm with elephant grass used for grazing animals. The location is about 2 km south of the center of La Fortuna, so a car is necessary. It is close to several of the tour outfitters that do canyoneering and rafting.
