"Alby was very welcoming, our room had the most beautiful view. Everything was clean and tidy. The welcome night cap from the local distillery was a lovely surprise and delicious. The room had everything we needed and we loved it. This place has so much character and we are so glad we found it, we really enjoyed our stay. "

"Loved this place, was very quiet and relaxing with the nice swimming area ( river ) for the kids . Lovely Hosts . The accommodation was nice , I stayed in the one bedroom cottage , it had everything we needed . Will definitely go back and I would recommend this place to friends and family . Older style accommodation but cosy and well equipped 👌. "

"Very friendly, informative and helpful host. We stayed at 4 Buffalo Beach road (there is a sister property at 13, a short walk away). Right on the beach road (you only have to walk up the driveway to see the beach). We stayed in Unit 11: a lovely ground floor studio with combined lounge area and kitchenette (sofa and TV, coffee table, dining table and two chairs). "Fantastic place, charming, quiet, Terry a great host/owner; beautiful location 2.5 km walk to downtown Tairua but pitch dark at night, glad I had a reflector vest Basics in place for cooking, TV has Netflix, prime and good channels. Water across the street, complimentary kayaks and shovels for hot beach ( but I was late getting there) Great base to take off in day trips Definitely my go to should I ever return."
