The Blue Heron… a newly remodeled charming studio apartment in the historic fishing village of Cortez. Minutes to beaches, restaurants, shopping, and adventure! Many amenities within walking distance. Also many modes of free public transportation. Apartment is completely self-contained with a private entrance, outside lounge area, and parking at the door. Walk to the beach , shopping, convenient store. Bike and golf cart rentals along with bait shops and jet ski , kayaking, boat rentals and fishing charters.

We an very enjoyable stay at our Cortez VRBO. The accomodations were small, but very nicely appointed, with a cleanliness and attention to detail that was impressive. The location is very attractive, with lovely beaches within easy driving distance.

This was a perfect place for a couple vacationing in Cortez/Anna Maria Island. Very clean! So helpful that the hosts provided beach chairs & towels, complimentary cold drinks and a cooler. Quiet neighborhood. We would stay again.

Our host was very receptive in getting back to us immediately when I had questions. The actual rental was super clean. Super comfortable. Beautifully decorated with a beach theme. Everything we needed was supplied including coffee, pop, water, everything we could possibly need we would definitely come back here

This is a very relaxing private location. The host has provided many items you might need to enjoy the beach including chairs, beach towels and even a cooler. It was great to see the refrigerator stocked with water, soft drinks and cream for the morning coffee. I look forward to a return visit in the spring.

This is our 4th time staying here. We love it. It is kept so clean! The host is very nice. The fridge has coffee creamer, bottled water & soda. She has beach towels, along with a great sturdy beach bag, as well as chairs & umbrella. Great location to restaurants, shops, beach, etc...you will love this little hidden gem. Perfect for two, to just get away.

This little place is amazing. It’s located in a dead end street, close to Cortez Bridge, so it’s close to everything. Amazingly clean, tidy, it even smelled new. Has very good A/C. Many amenities included, more and better than your regular hotel room. Listing is very accurate and communication with the seller is great. Definitely on my return list and will recommend it to friends.

Just what we wanted!

Great little property and perfect for 2 people! We really appreciated the beach towels, chairs, tote and cooler that were available to use, which we did every day! The location was great, just over the bridge from AMI and on a quiet street. We were in walking distance to some AMAZING little restaurants just across the street on the fishing pier.

Perfect Short Stay

We wanted a couple nights in Crotez prior to a longer stay on the island. We wanted to be able to walk to restaurants in Cortez and have the ability to go over to Bridge Street and the beach. This was perfect! We have already talked about coming back for a longer stay. The beverages and popcorn was a fun little treat. The unit had everything you would need for a stay and was so clean and quiet. We enjoyed sitting outside and having coffee in the morning. Perfect quiet little place for a couple. We will be back!

lovely little launching spot

This was truly the perfect spot for exploring Cortez and Anna Maria Island. Beautiful beaches and lots of options for dining within walking distance. The accommodations were quiet, cozy, and clean. I can’t wait to return for another visit.
