"Avoid this. Black mold covering the dishwasher, and one of the blankets. Wifi never worked. "

"My wife and I came to vacation in Ireland with our 6 children. This was a lovely home that fit us perfectly. We stayed a week and traveled each day to another location to see the SW of the country. Caroline the property manager was very nice and very responsive. The only constructive feedback I would give is that it would be nice to have screens on the bedroom windows. This may not be applicable for the majority of the year, but it was very warm when we stayed, and with no A/C, we wanted to open...

"The Meadow View Farmhouse was a dream come true. Eamonn was an awesome host. He met us at the house with a wealth of information about the area and even booked us a visit to a local castle viewing. The attention to detail that he has put into refurbishing this old farmhouse is phenomenal. The views surrounding the house were spectacular! We even got to experience a local farmer moving his cattle from one pasture to another on the road in front of the house. A true Irish gem and we will...

"Great, central location in Ireland. Could drive to Galway, Clanmacnoise, Rock of Cashel, Burren, Dublin area easily and be back. All within two hours, some even 20 minutes. Parking great and walked to pubs, music, groceries, etc. 8 family including kids. Kids loved the loft area and family loved main dining/living area. Beds basic and comfortable, price was great for family budget! Thanks Sean!"

"I have to preface this with an *. I had booked the gardener's cottage but there was some sort of booking mishap and the cottage was double booked. To their credit they gave me a room in the main house which was very nice. It was technically an up-grade and there was no charge. I would have like the solitude of the cottage, but I am not upset as I had a lovely time. You should most definitely get dinner. The food was exceptional. "From the minute we stepped foot into this property, we felt at home. We were met with sparkling clean accommodations, breathtaking views, a bowl of fruit on the table, and coffee and teabags in the counter! The rooms were all comfortable and attractive, the kitchen was well stocked with dishes, utensils, towels, tea pots, coffee press, sugar, spices, etc. We had a wonderful holiday at Shannon View, and recommend it highly! "Yvonne and Peter couldn't be more accommodating! Yvonne met us to discuss the cottage. She had nice touches to make everything cozy. It was incredibly clean! We felt at home immediately! It was a wonderful base camp for Kilkenny and several other places. We loved Portlaoise and enjoyed several trips into town ( only a 10 minute drive) We loved their dogs and enjoyed spending time getting to know them. ( Our choice, they are very respectful of privacy) I absolutely recommend their place 100%!!"
