"This hotel provided me with a fantastically located place to stay whilst attending a nearby wedding. Situated within a gorgeous looking building the hotel makes use of its period features without giving a dated impression. The room I stayed in was spotless and had everything I needed to make my stay as comfortable as possible. Being in the city centre was also another major positive as it meant I could arrive into Hereford by train and walk to the hotel. Hotel staff were also unendingly polite...

"Apart from a hiccup at the beginning waiting for staff to arrive to check in we cannot fault this hotel. "An overnight dtay for the Hay festival. The first time i have stayed at a B&B in over 40years. OML how wonderful my stay was, fabulous hosts Fiona and James plus the gorgeous dogs'! Super room, very comfortable and everything one could wish for. Such attention to detail. The breakfast which was a 'full English' was the best breakfast i have had in a very long time, with all either home made or locally sourced. Fiona's granola with yoghurt and berries so very tasty. A beautiful home. All superb....

"Very good staff, excellent safe parking for my motorbike. Food excellent and decent price, I don’t usually go for set meals but it worked for me. Beer is spot on ales. Butty Bach is served well. My ONLY gripe was that the room was 36deg because no one had bothered to open windows and ventilate it. The whole night it only dropped to 27deg with all windows open. Otherwise I would have given it more stars. Also the ‘continental’ breakfast is basically toast and cereals, no fresh coffee. "

"The property is an adapted farmhouse set in Fields fronted by a large pond with ducks, moorhens and other wildlife. It has easy access to marked walking paths. Our room was at the top of the building and one of the most expensive with a separate seating área off the bedroom. Breakfast was adéquate rather than special but we were there with no other guests. Décor is functional and comfortable. The B&B would be fine for short stays but might be a bit basic for longer holidays"
