A terrible and stressful experience. We were wrongly accused of false damage and claims. FYI: Prior to Colmar, we were in Venice May 29-June 3. Here is the Airbnb host review on me: Edith was a perfect guest: kind, polite, precise. The apartment was left in perfect condition and communication was always prompt and fast. Highly recommended.A very important issue I would like to bring out is : the host did not provide us with the basic necessities and her misinformation would lead to our unnecessary stress and disaster. We were provided with an almost finished roll of toilet paper and 2 spares for the 4 of us, 5 days, 4 nights. When I messaged for more, we were told to use it sparingly and not to block the toilet. More importantly, we were told to get it ourselves from the only supermarket which I accidentally and luckily found out that was closed for the following 2 days due to that Sunday coincided with a public holiday! Imagine the stress of any traveler stranded without toilet paper!! The downstairs beddings and pillows were stored on the dirty closet floor, very unhygienic, disgusting and unacceptable.In 2018, we visited Colmar, stayed in this same apartment and gave it a good review. Does it make sense that we went back 7 years later to have fun and at the same time to wreck the apartment and to give myself all this stress? Is it because of the change of management or owner from our first visit? Or is it racial related? We are neither Caucasians nor French speaking!
