Master bedroom has fireplace and private deck overlooking the harbor. Life size 2 story playhouse for the kids. No car needed to enjoy this beautiful town.

Convenient to Huntington Village, Paramount Theatre, Whaling Museum, Fish Hatchery, Fire house Museum and much more.

We have rented a number of places on VRBO and this is our favorite. It was charming, clean and spacious. We don't have small children but if we did this would be perfect with a game room downstairs and an outdoor playhouse. Would definitely return!

The captain cottage was exactly what Mom and I wanted! Beautiful views of the bay,super easy five minute walk to the main street of Cold Spring Harbor, adorable house with everything you need, and Kim was on top of it every time we neededhelp. Thank you so much for hosting us and cannot wait to be back!

It became a short retreat into beauty and quiet just for myself. This my 2nd time around. Kim and George are exceptional hosts and purveyors of life! They inspire your senses in every way each day you find something new to discover in this exquisitely detailed lovingly assembled abode. It’s remarkable how many crevices draw you in even the children’s play parlor. Lol! Yep was in there as well -true story! There is no comparison. It’s worth every cent! I was so blessed and renewed ! Home was very clean with all supplies needed for our stay of 3 nights. Location was perfect with ability to walk to town as well as a bonus a state park hiking trail accessible from the back yard.

I loved the house, the only downside was when we had the opportunity to enjoy our coffee this morning, landscaper started mowing and leaf blowing. We couldn’t hear each other at all. I don’t know why that could not have started at 10:00 at checkout rather than 9:15

We absolutely loved staying at the Captain's Cottage! Such an adorable home and close to everything! We were up there to visit my 96 yr old Mother and my Sisters! Perfect place to stay!

From the moment you hit the driveway everything about this property is an escape. Every detail is purposeful and makes you feel so welcomed and thought of in so many special ways. It’s so well designed with surprises around every corner of the home and property. Something literally for everyone. Immaculate. Stunning views- Amazing! Kim & George were so generous to answer my question. It was Perfect!

This is a quaint property located off the main road going through town but you would never know it. It is quiet and tranquil. Property is clean and well maintained. The owner has provided many amenities, my husband appreciated the well stocked coffee"nook." We walked everywhere and it was fun to explore the waterfront. A quick drive to Sagamore Hill and Oyster Bay. We enjoyed our stay. Owner was very responsive to my questions.

I rented this home for a multi-family vacation. We all absolutely loved the house. The beautiful view of the habor was amazing to see out the windows, porches, and backyard. The next door neighbors are very friendly. The house is very beautiful inside and comfortable. Bed upstairs was soft, king bed on the main floor is medium firm. The single beds on main floor one is soft one really firm. The playhouse in the backyard was the highlight for my grandson and made his vacation so special. In walking distance is a deil with the best coffee in town . They have bagels delivered daily and other delicious breakfast sandwiches. There are many restaurants, groceries stores and train station in the area. There is also a 24 hrs CVS close by. You can walk down to the boat dock and see mussels during low tide. The fire pit in the backyard was nice to sit around and hangout. The owners are friendly and responsive if you have an issue.

Our family had an absolutely delightful stay at the Captain's Cottage in Cold Spring Harbor! The moment we walked in, we were impressed by the stylish and charming decor that gave the home a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The entire house was spotlessly clean and very well-maintained, making us feel right at home. The cottage had all the amenities we could possibly need, and we were pleasantly surprised to find some extra touches that made our stay even more comfortable. The location was ideal, with stunning views of the harbor and easy access to nearby attractions. We would definitely recommend the Captain's Cottage to anyone visiting the area and hope to come back ourselves someday!

Came into town for Passover in Syosset, this was a great home to stay in for the long weekend. Beautiful location with lots in walking distance so we could enjoy the area. Kitchen amazingly well stocked to be able to help with cooking. As others have mentioned, the stairs to one of the King bedrooms are very steep so at least 2 guests need to be able to essentially go up and down a ladder- our guest mix made this fine. Backyard seating area was beautiful with direct access to Cold Spring Harbor State park. We really enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.
