"Beautiful, spacious property. Practical Details for Americans: they have a water kettle not a coffee pot, so purchase instant or bag coffee before you come, not beans or ground. They have a washer and dryer. You need to bring pods and be aware, it's a condenser dryer that takes about 2 hours to dry a verysmall load (5-6 items). Be sure to empty the dryer water tank. It's muddy on the property, so bring slippers or alternate shoes plus something to put your shoes in to protect your suitcase....

"We enjoyed how quiet the property and surrounding area was. Went for a nice long walk and took in the Bay. The Annex has everything you need, besides a tv, but the view from the windows makes up for that. Tea on the back patio in the evening helped us relax after a day of travel. The following morning we had a lovely breakfast in the main house with lively conversation with the owners. They helped us plan our next day of travel. "

"We were absolutely delighted to arrive at this little slice of heaven after a week in Dublin. The peaceful estate was like something out of a dream and the gate house was perfect for us. We can't wait to return with our children. It is a perfect getaway for a family of 3 or 4. The house had all the amenities to cook. House was clean and better than advertised. "

"The property is in an ideal location for Galway City and surrounding area.. It is dated and could do with some TLC ,along with the garden. The local area has some fantastic scenery and is almost a step back in time. The local Pub restaurant has a great atmosphere ,and the food and beer were marvellous! "

"Of the many visits to Ireland I've had, this could probably be my favourite cottage of all. The location is absolutely amazing how it's tucked away between the hills. The inside was very cute and cosy. Loved the nearest town, Oughterard, which had a lovely coffee spot, several grocery options, and an amazing pub. I didn't want to leave, and can't wait to come back."

"Beautiful roomy clean house. Provided portable crib and high chair for our 1 YO grandchild. Master & 3 queen bedrooms plus master bath and hall accessible bath with tub and shower were upstairs. Downstairs was another queen and a full bath accessibe from foyer. Only issues we encountered were a very hot arrival - there is no AC -and the shades were all up to let sun in. We opened all the windows and doors and borrowed fans. The dishwasher did not work but we notified owner. The dryer doesn’t dry...

"The property is as good or better than the photos in the listing. Well maintained and nicely decorated and equipped. The location is just beautiful! A top-notch place to spend time and to use as a base in exploring Connemara. Mike was very helpful and provided loads of great information about the area. "
