As a repeat guest, we were very excited to be returning to this particular location for another week. It is a tastefully remodeled carriage house and our previous interactions with the owner have always been positive. However, after our latest experience we are no longer able to recommend this location. Due to an unforeseen medical emergency we were unable to travel to Cleveland as originally planned. We were forced to reschedule all appointments and procedures at the Clinic as well as other engagements. We contacted the host immediately and asked to change the dates of our reservation to another available week in December. However, the host was not willing to work with us. While she does have a no cancelation policy, we were not requesting a cancelation. This was a guaranteed reservation and we had already paid in full. We just needed to change the dates. We are very surprised and disappointed with the host’s intransigence. She got our money- for a week we ultimately could not use. To stay there a few weeks later would have required us to make another reservation and pay in full-again. Sadly, we will not be renting from this host again. If you choose to stay here, do so with the knowledge that any unforeseen circumstances you may encounter are likely not be accommodated.
