"Queens is a lovely hotel, we used to stay at 131 but got fed up with the noise from below. Old school traditional hotel ideal location for town. As far as we are concerned it ticks all the boxes. We didn’t get the opportunity to eat there but I’m sure we will on our next visit. Joe on reception was very informative and friendly."

"The house is a charming old building, but relatively far away from the city center and the nearest restaurants. You have to walk a good 15 to 20 minutes to the center. The first room we got was spacious and had a nice view, but the heavy old curtains and the old seating furniture were so full of dust that I had trouble breathing. The bed frame was full of stains. We were finally shown two alternatives - in the basement, even though the hotel was perhaps only ten percent full. The room was dark...

"Great situation with its own underground car park; not that easy to find on first lap, as I was alone, but just before the steps to reception on the left……£10 charge was is fine. A bit tired from the outside and needs a bit of TLC, but room was fine and…..roomy!! Breakfast not worth bothering with, as just cold Continental, but so close to town, so other options? Great value for position and practicality; helpful SA gent on reception on arrival - would revisit for sure, but don’t use if trying...

"The carpets in the inn were filthy when walking up to the rooms! The beds were super squeaky and the room got super warm at night. We asked for a fan and were given one that doesn't work. Sleeping was almost impossible for me. The en suite bathroom we had in the double room did not only not have a latch, but the door also somehow swung and was overall very inconvenient - not ideal if you're travelling with someone who's not your partner. The staff was probably the best part - super friendly and...

"The room we stayed in was just right size and comfy, with fast Wi-Fi and everything we need. The bathroom was okay, but the shower area only had a curtain to keep things in, which wasn’t the best. The breakfast was great, with lots of hot food to choose from, and you could even order from the kitchen. The cleaning could use a bit more work, though—there were visible stains on the toilet and heavy stains on the tea kettle."

"Was not provided with an access code. When I managed to contact the property manager they claimed no personal information was forwarded to them, ie; phone number or email from Expedia. I had to enlist the help of a nearby business to contact them 3 hours after the check in time. If Expedia doesn’t forward details why would you continue to use them as booking agents. Property was close enough to train station and quite location, front door was often not secured from the street "

"Images are not like the rooms! Shared Bathroom which i refused to use. Check in is down the road and then you have a 5min walk to the actual location. No where to park so cost £15.00 to park in NCP. Defo wouldnt stay again"

I had asked what they had done about it. Did they even report to police. Then later I locked myself out of room. There is no reception so was asked to go to another hotel to pick up a key. I spent £19 on Uber (return) and didn’t even have shoes, and it was raining. Sheet didn’t fit mattress properly so kept coming off. Trains disturbed...
