It's a very old building in Old Town, not far from the train station. Everyone there was very kind but when we checked in but only the top floor room was available (5 stories and no elevator). The stairway was dark and although I'm in pretty good shape it was a real struggle to get our two suitcases up there. My 80 year old mother had a real hard time but she made it!
The shared bathroom was clean and right down the hall, but upon check-in I was told that our shower was 4 floors down .....why?? Even though we were hot, sweaty and exhausted we skipped the showers and tried to sleep.
There was one window (with no screen) in the room but no cross breeze unless we left the front door open which we didn't feel safe doing after dark. The room was clean but hot, humid and stuffy and live music was playing in the courtyard until at least midnight even with earplugs in it was pretty loud.
Luckily we only stayed one night between trains, I knew it wasn't a posh place but it was a bit more rustic and challenging than I bargained for.
Everyone working there was very nice and kind it's just a very old cramped building.
