We want to make sure you have the utmost convenience! You'll be provided an access code to the back entrance prior to check-in. The owners are local, and will be able to be reached by platform messaging during the duration of your stay.

Claytor Lake State Park: Approximately 25 minutes (17 miles). Perfect for boating, fishing, and hiking.
Radford University: About 15 minutes (9 miles). Convenient for campus visits and events.
Virginia Tech: Roughly 25 minutes (17 miles). Ideal for Hokie football games and campus tours.
Downtown Christiansburg: Just 10 minutes away for dining and shopping.

This charming countryside home offers a cozy, family-friendly environment with a spacious layout. The property includes multiple bedrooms, bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and inviting living spaces, all surrounded by scenic views and lush greenery

Please take shoes off in the mudroom before entering the rest of the cottage.

Trash is to be stored in big red trash can in mudroom.

While there is a free dump site available 3 miles from the home for exsessive trash during your stay, we offer a "a la carte" option of $15 for a trash pick up! You are in a wildlife reserve, which means animals will be attracted to the trash and could cause a dangerous situation on top of a mess to clean up. We ask no trash be left outside, and have two options available for you! If you are in need of a trash pick, simply shoot us a message!



Proximity to Major Highways:

The property is approximately 10 minutes from I-81, offering quick and easy access to major routes.

-Park anywhere in the gravel area or by the garage but please do not walk through the grass and provided walking path when loading/unloading cars.

-TV service is Roku for streaming options. Please log out of personal streaming platforms before leaving.
- The land is adjacent to Falls Ridge Nature Preserve, situated on the North Fork of the Roanoke River. There are multiple hiking trails, caves and waterfalls to enjoy. Dogs are not allowed inside the Preserve, but there are plenty of other trails for them on the property. And there is the river where you can fish and swim (and occasionally float-ask us about our boogie board water hike in the summer!)
-We are 30 minutes from the Appalachian Trail and Virginias Triple Crown (McAfee's Knob, Dragon's tooth and
Tinker Cliffs) as well as the Cascades in Jefferson National Forest. We are 10 minutes off I-81.
-Rv'ers: please not we have a small bridge that may be challenging for larger sizes. Moving vans and UPS trucks
cross it no problem but no longer vehicles may not want to consider.
-You will hear the train come through a few times per day. Thy do not blow the whistle when coming through.

- Please take shoes off in the mudroom before entering the rest of the cottage to avoid $350 carpet cleaning fee.*

- Trash is to be stored in big red trash can in mudroom. It is very important that no trash is left outside or around the home due to wildlife concerns. Should you need to dispose of trash during your stay, there is a free Montgomery County dump site close to the home. A photo of it's location can be provided to you upon request. Dump Hours are Mon.-Fri., 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

- Pet fee is 100 for 2 pets, for a 3rd pet it is an additional $50. (3 pets max)

- Only toilet paper goes down the toilet. We are on a septic system. Please acknowledge you will not flush anything but toilet paper.

- Fireplaces are not to be used by guests

- There's no Fire Pit

-Propane (for grill use):
1. There MAY BE a propane tank available at the house.
2. If you see a tank, you may use it for the grill.
3. If the tank is empty, guests are responsible for refilling it.
4. We DO NOT provide propane refills.


- Please pick up after your pet uses the bathroom. If you forgot your poo bags, don’t worry we have some in the mudroom on the table the beach towels are on.

"As the spring and summer season is among us, you may see yard maintenance crews during your stay as they are on a schedule, they will not need to enter home and will be gone as quickly as possible"

Check out is at 10am, charges will apply if guest is not out by 10. Please be curious to this time frame, our cleaners need time to clean and prepare for next guest.
