"Kumano house is cozy, clean and organized, and I loved all of the information provided for places to eat and visit. I was caught off guard with the rooms being on the 2nd floor and the steep stairs was burdensome with elderly family members in our party. We made it work and we enjoyed living in a typical home in Japan. Uber transportation were hesitant in traveling down the lane to the house but we also made that work. My group really enjoyed our time here at Kumano House. "

"The Abita is a boutique type hotel in a central but relatively quiet location in Kyoto. The room amenities and fittings were top rated with nice artwork touches. The staff and systems showed good management and effort to assist the guests stay. The location was good, easy walk to local subway station and further walk/subway ride to restaurants/nightlife and daytime sightseeing activity. Highly recommended for above average hotel stay in Kyoto. "

"Truly amazing hotel with great staff, stunning rooftop patio, excellent food and drink and really an enjoyable stay. Extra thanks to those working the front desk and bar as they made the lobby and rooftop feel like an oasis. We ate and drank at the hotel numerous times. It's located in a really nice area close to major sites and easy access to transit. Choose here! If we come back the only thing id do is get a river view room. They were also great with kids and allergies."

"The staff were super helpful and nice. A bit of a language barrier which they navigate very effectively with a language app. Nice common area with free drinks and an amenity station. Good restaurants right outside the door with vegetarian options, 7-11 across the street, McDonalds and transportation a block away. Would definitely stay here again. "

"Kyokoi Chikurintei is a beautiful property in a quiet neighbourhood. Its a lovely stroll to shopping, temples and shrines, and a quick walk to a bus line. The home itself is really unique - that glass floor is amazing! The soaking tub, small courtyard, tatami room, and comfy bedroom are highlights. The hosts reply to messages quickly, checking in is super easy. I highly recommend this property, we just loved it."

"This was in a great location, close to lots of great things to do. But the street traffic was loud, the construction across the street was loud, the sound of other residents in other rooms was loud. Our room was the double bunk beds and the beds were very creaky and loud. Every motion in the upper bunk created a lot of noise for sleeping below. Sleeping with all the surrounding noise was very challenging "
