Campbell's Hillside Retreat commands a breathtaking view from it's 12 ft. wrap around porch! It is a custom built spacious farm style home with 4 bedrooms and one private entry suite perfect for extra privacy. Private swimming pool (85 degrees May 1. -Oct. 6) nestled on a ridge overlooking historic downtown Chelan, the lake and surrounding territory. Enjoy every view from the 12' deep wrap-around porch. The outdoor basketball court and the Kettler ping pong table are always a hit! This comfortably furnished home is well designed to host large groups, meeting the needs of multiple generations. A large kitchen (2 ovens and a Subzero refrigerator) open to the dining and living areas, a separate entry level suite complete with kitchen sink, large bathroom, 2 Queen beds and a twin bed and 4 additional bedrooms create just the right space for everyone. The spectacular location of this property gives you the sense of being miles away while in reality the property has everything within reach. If golf is your game, within yards you will find yourself on the 6th hole of the Chelan Municipal Golf course. Family get together

We had seven adults and 4 children staying at the home for a family get together. There was plenty of room for all. We loved the wrap around porch for coffee in the morning and evenings playing games as a family. The kids loved the pool. The outside grill was great for hamburgers and the kitchen had everything we needed. The location is perfect for Chelan and Manson. There was some construction going on up front of the house on the main street but it only bothered us one morning. The views from the house are amazing. We would love to come back. This is a great location. Very peaceful. We watched the quail every morning and even spotted some deer one afternoon by the pool. This is a great location no matter the season. So glad we found it!

Can not get enough

I have lost track of how many times we have stayed at this house with our family group of 11 or more. We just love this property with it's large house, location, wrap around deck, view, pool, rooms for everyone and how easy it is to work with Carol the owner. This is the vacation and the house that all our kids and grandkids look forward to every year. We will be back!

Lovely Home and Fantastic Location

We are a group of a dozen women in our 60’s and 70’s who travel together in the NW US every year. This year we spent a week in Carol’s lovely Lake Chelan hillside home. The house was comfortable and had all the amenities. The house can easily accommodate large groups and would be particularly great for families. The pool was fabulous on hot afternoons and we enjoyed the cool morning walks into town and back up the hill. Chelan has so many things to do for both adults and kids! In addition to cooking and eating together, members of our group spent a day in Stehekin (1.5-hour boat ride each way), played golf and mini golf, shopped in town, went to the farmer’s market, visited a winery, para-sailed, and enjoyed several hikes. Carol went the extra mile by communicating clearly and often. She answered all our questions and made sure everything was ready for us. We would recommend this home enthusiastically and would love to return.

Best Chelan rental EVER!

Carol's home is amazing, and we keep coming back to it every summer. We love the view, the pool, and the wrap around porch...also the two fridges, the covered parking spot for our boat, and all the places for our family to gather in the house. Carol is a wonderful host, and is available anytime to answer our questions or needs. Thank you for helping to make our family vacations so memorable and special.

Family vacation in the books!

Great house for 3 generation family vacation. Plastic plates and glasses would be good to have. The trees that line the driveway could use a trim so you don't hit them backing down with a boat and tower. Pool is awesome! Loved the wrap around porch! Cant wait to go back.

Great family time

The house was very clean with a well stocked kitchen. The beds were comfortable. The covered wraparound deck was perfect on those hot days. We all had fun in the pool especially as it was shaded for part of the day. Everything was labeled so the house felt familiar. The books in the library were a hit with the grandkids. Sitting on the deck in the early morning, drinking coffee, and just staring at the lake was so relaxing. We were together, but everyone had space. We’ll definitely be back.

Wonderful home

We were a family group of 10 that included grandparents and two sets of twins, ages 5 and 9. We were there for a week, a first visit. When you read all the other previous reviews, we would totally echo their perspectives. One thing that was particularly noticeable was the cleanliness of the expansive porch. There was not a spider's web to be found. Staying here was a great experience and we would like to come back!

Amazing Vacation Get-A-Way

We absolutely love this property! This was our 7th stay here at this property and it was just as enjoyable and comfortable as our first 6 times. The house is well furnished and comfortable in every room. The wrap around porch with amazing views and comfortable seating all around is one of our favorite features. Early morning coffee and late evening wine enjoying the view uplake from the porch lead to a gathering of family every day. The very clean and well maintained pool kept all the kids and adults busy and refreshed. The easy access to the lake, town and drive-in were all appreciated. The 12 of us really enjoyed our stay here. The property is quiet and the owner is attentive and so easy to work with. Of all the places we have stayed and homes we have rented for vacations, this is by far the favorite. No one wanted to leave and everyone is already looking forward to next year.

Another great stay

We enjoyed the week at Carol’s hilltop home with it’s unmatched view of the lake and town. Very convenient to all the activities our family loves about Lake Chelan yet very quiet and private. Our one technical problem was handled promptly when asked. I’m sure we’ll be back.

M & S Family celebration!

Our family had a wonderful time celebrating our 50th anniversary! The house was very well appointed, kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. Having the 2 refrigerators worked out perfectly!! Plenty of room for us adults and kids to just hang out! We loved grilling outside. The pool was perfect and heated just right for the hots days! The wrap around porch and the views were amazing! We loved staying at this property!

Wonderful Experience

Our rental experience was smooth and clear from start to finish. Carol communicates regularly and makes sure all questions are answered. The home fit our three families of differing ages very well. The pool was clean and the temperature was perfect. While it was 100+ F every day, the AC kept the home cool enough for all to sleep comfortably. The home was also clean and well stocked. It is definitely a 'hideaway'. While it is a quick drive to town, because of the hillside location, it is not an easy walk or bike ride. This is not a problem, but it is nice to be aware of. Also, the checkout time is 10am so you need to be ready to get moving on your last day. :) We had a wonderful week and would love to return!

Perfect location and home

We travel to Chelan all the time, and this location is truly special. We were 2 families with 5 kids under 11, and we had a great time here with plenty of room. Location is great, tons of privacy, views from everywhere, and house is well stocked. We'll be back!

Wonderful vacation home!

My family of four stayed at this wonderful vacation rental. The location can’t be beat! Up on a hillside with breathtaking views of Lake Chelan. The house was huge with a beautiful wrap around porch that provided plenty of options for places to sit and relax. We could see the pool from both the porch and the hot tub. Lots of places to relax! We loved the pool and hot tub and we played lots of ping pong and basketball outside. And we enjoyed visits from the families of quail that would walk into the yard. The kitchen was really well stocked and there were clear directions for everything. The owner was lovely and had A+ Communication.

Outstanding Getaway

A very comfortable home with a great view in a quiet location. The house is very comfortable, well furnished with a clean warm fenced in pool. This was the 6th time our family (11 of us this time) has stayed at this amazing home. Carol the owner, is friendly, easy to talk with and very responsive to any questions or needs. There is plenty of seating in three different outdoor areas including a large table with a great view of the lake and surrounding hills. Inside there is comfortable seating in several areas along with a large dining table. Our family really enjoys this home and it's location. The kids would all like to move into this wonderful home and they all consider it their home away from home. We really love this quiet location and the peaceful, relaxing atmosphere surrounding it. Our stays both summer and fall have been amazing so next up may be a winter getaway. We plan to return again next summer.
