Charming and Secluded Log Cabin Near Mackinaw City and Mackinac Island!!!

This beautiful log home is in the heart of all Northern Michigan has to offer. This home has 3 bedrooms and sleeps up to 7 people. The master bedroom has a king bed, private bath and a walk in closet.
The large great room has a beautiful stone fireplace. The fully equipped kitchen makes it easy to enjoy family meals around the large dining room table with extra seating at the island. Enjoy nature from the Sun Valley swing on the 50 foot covered front porch.

***The cabin is available by itself or can be rented along with a 2 bedroom cottage directly adjacent. Great additional space for larger groups. See VRBO 3175967

There is plenty of parking for cars, trailers and snowmobiles as well as use of the 2 car detached garage…where you will find a barbeque and lawn chairs.

This home offers privacy with plenty of space, surrounded by 4 acres of beautiful woods and a stream running through the backyard.

The driveway crosses a main snowmobile trail which serves as a beautiful walking, biking and running trail in the summer and fall.

To the north, the trail leads to Historic Mill Creek Discovery Park. A leisurely 4 mile bike ride where you can Zip-Line and learn about the 1700’s saw mill which milled all the logs for Fort Mackinac on Mackinac Island.

Mackinaw City is less than a 10 minute drive and offers breath taking views of the Mackinaw Bridge from a wonderful public beach, shopping, restaurants and other activities. You can also hitch a ride on one of the ferry boats to the beautiful Mackinac Island.

If you want to travel south, the town of Cheboygan offers grocery stores, restaurants and a public beach, boat launching and fishing on the Cheboygan River.

Historic Mackinac Island
450 feet north up the trail is the 6 acre Straights Area Roadside Park on Lake Huron
Just the other side of Mackinaw City is Headlands International Dark Sky Park
Petoskey and Harbor Springs are both a 45 minute drive

Home was one of the best stocked homes we have rented in regards to kitchen supplies. It was wonderfully secluded but yet still close to activities and ships. Host was helpful with information and hosting regarding location, access, etc.

Quiet, clean and private. Plenty of space for our family. Beautiful yard and surroundings. Easy commute to mackinaw city and was a quiet, cool retreat after our busy days. Would definitely recommend.

Wonderful Mackinaw area cabin

My wife, our two little girls, my sister and parents rented this cabin in mid-July for a couple day vacation in the Mackinaw City/Mackinac Island area. It was wonderful - close enough to all the touristy stuff (within 10 minutes) but also not in the thick of it, placing us in a beautiful natural environment to relax and unwind. The close proximity to a roadside park on the water and the North Central State trail were extra bonuses we didn't really realize prior to arrival.We enjoyed the expansive covered porch and the fire pit. Our little girls were enthralled by the stream and bridge in the back. The bugs weren't bad at all, but the screened gazebo would also have been great if they had been. I was initially a bit worried about the cabin's proximity to the highway and road noise, but the substantial buffer of trees made this not an issue at all.Inside, the cabin is nicely furnished (spent a good amount of time on the comfy leather sectional in particular) and clean. The bathrooms are a bit dated and have some quirks, but it's a cabin and to be expected. The cabin had all we needed as far as pans, plates, silverware, etc. One of the most thoughtfully stocked cabin we've rented, particularly with kids stuff.The option for expanding to a second cabin (not rented to separate groups at the same time) make us quite interesting in taking more family up with us next time.The bottom line: we'd most certainly rent this cabin if we travel again to this area and have the chance.

Perfect Fall Find

We loved being able to stay here for a week. The property was beautiful and fun to explore. The cabin is beautifully maintained and was very clean. It had extra thoughtful touches that made it easier to stay and was right in the middle of shopping and being out in nature so we could take in the stars and get a pizza at the same time.

Office Girls Weekend

We had a great stay at this beautiful rental log cabin in the woods. Very cozy and well stocked place. Took a day trip to the island on Saturday. Everyone had a great time. We all wished we had one more day to relax and enjoy the rental. You won't be disappointed with this place!

The perfect cozy cabin with everything you could need!

This property was even better than we could have hoped for. Communication with the owner was great and she gave us directions that made it easy to find (even late at night). The cabin was secluded and yet easy to get to everything. The place was so charming, very clean and had everything we needed. The instructions for our departure were clear. This place exceeded our expectations and was perfect for our family getaway. I highly recommend!
