Slice of Heaven

This house is absolutely stunning. The property is beautiful and its so quiet. The sunsets are really great from the pool. The owners are very friendly and communicate better than any other VRBO house i have stayed in. I cant say enough about how great this place is.

UVA Graduation

The High Barn easily accommodates a large group comfortably. The indoor and outdoor spaces are beautiful. The hosts are very thoughtful and the house is well appointed with amenities. They are also very accessible and gracious. Highly recommend!

Stunning custom built home

I can’t say enough about how perfect our stay was! The owners were extremely communicative and helpful. The house was on a stunning secluded piece of land outside Charlottesville and offered incredible views. The house was very well appointed and they certainly thought of everything. We would absolutely be back again.

Stunning Farmhouse

Helen and Graham were incredibly kind and hospitable hosts for our group! In preparing for our stay, they went above and beyond to ensure our stay was not only comfortable, but special and memorable. During our visit, they were always available for any questions our group had. The house is stunningly designed and very accommodating for our group. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could need to cook for a large group (including a beautiful wine fridge to store your wine at serving temperature!). The movie room was a big hit for our group who wanted to watch the U.S. Open. The beds were so comfortable we had to ask our hosts what brand of mattress they were! The backyard featured breathtaking views of the blue ridge mountains and a beautiful pool while we soaked up the sun. It was such a treat for our group to visit here and we would absolutely come back again for our next trip to Charlottesville.

Amazing Vacation Property

Graham and Helen were perfect hosts! They were very responsive and the house was exceptionally well set up for our family of 10. The teenager loved the media room and the adults loved the multiple gathering rooms. The bedrooms were perfect, all with king beds. The toddler loved the pool and exploring the outside area. We had a guys golf day and a ladies winery tour. All were very close by and the whole area is beautiful. Each of the family members rated this a 10 out of 10. Will definitely come back - hopefully in the fall when the views will be even more spectacular!

The most peaceful beautiful retreat

We stayed at high barn for the most magical girls retreat weekend . Stylish and expansive ; every inch of the home is decorated in the most sophisticated patterns and design - while also somehow managing a warm inviting comfortable homey feel . the surroundings were absolutely stunning . We spent most of our days gazing at the view pool side with drinks in our hands . The 5 bedrooms are perfect size and we had so much space . We watched movies in the theater room and truly enjoyed every inch of the home . We knew we wanted a place were we could meet up and have a moms weekend - where we could truly just relax and not feel obligated to go out or leave if we didn’t want to and high barn was just that . Absolute paradise . We saw deer and fireflies , beautiful chirping birds and even a groundhog. It was easy to get Uber eats , Instacart and Uber rides as we needed . The nearby wineries were incredible ! Heather and Graham were fabulous hosts . We cannot wait to return someday .

Unforgettable getaway near Charlottesville

Stunning, luxury property with all of the amenities you could want for a relaxing getaway. Is in close proximity to local wineries, Crozet, and Charlottesville. Owners are very responsive and take great care of the property. Highly recommend - you will not be disappointed.

Wonderful Wedding Weekend

If you are looking for a special home in a beautiful setting for a large group, look no further, you have found it! High Barn is a top notch, spacious, and comfortable home with beautiful grounds. The floor plan and outdoor space is wide open with lots of room to be together and apart. The kitchen is well stocked and the surrounding sitting areas are perfect for relaxing and hanging out. Helen and Graham are great hosts. They were attentive and responsive and answered all of our questions leading up to and during the stay and provided wonderful recommendations for whatever we were in search of. What you see on line is what you get + so much more. I highly and unequivocally recommend a stay at High Barn.

Paradise

Perfect getaway for a large group. Lots of room both inside and out. Gorgeous views with a wide open floor plan. Wonderfully stocked for cooking and chilling. It’s hard to leave the house to see the rest of the area. Helen and Graham were the perfect hosts. They responded quickly but were not overbearing. Whoever stays here is in for a wonderful time with special memories.

Rural Retreat

My family and I had an amazing stay at Helen and Graham's "barn." We arrived late in the evening and were greeted by the fireflies in the adjacent fields and enjoyed some treats that were left by our hosts to welcome us to their property. Our family felt at home right from the start. The house is amazing - very high ceilings and windows that frame the fantastic views of the hills and the Blue Ridge Mountains. The interior is thoughtfully designed with plenty of comfy seating and a super fun theater room for guests to enjoy a movie night or play video games together - a big highlight for our all of our kids. Be sure to take time to look at the art hanging on the walls - so many beautiful pieces to look at. The layout of the floor plan is great - there are a few bedrooms grouped together in one wing and a couple of other bedrooms that are in different sections of the house to accommodate for all types of groups. The kitchen has all the essential dishes, glasses and appliances and there is a laundry room that is available for guest use as well. As gorgeous as the inside of the house is, the outdoors will compete for your attention. The sunsets were an event each evening and we were lucky to be able to enjoy time out on the back patio and make use of the pool. The views and surrounding areas are like classic Americana paintings. Thank you, Helen and Graham, for being such terrific hosts and making our trip so memorable! Can't recommend highly enough!

Grand Vista

The view alone out the back justifies staying here. The rolling hills are clearly visible in sight lines across the large swimming pool. A delightful spot even if you never left the property! It is convenient to Crozet and about a half hour to campus. Great beer country!

Unbelievable beautiful

I’ve stayed in over 30 different homes for vacations/get a ways and this by far was the best experience I’ve ever had. We rented the house for a girls weekend and it could not have been a more perfect house. The place is immaculate and the design/decor is stunning. The pictures don’t even do it justice - you have to be there in person to get the full effect of the beauty of this place. Don’t even get me started on the view. It doesn’t even seem real. Looks like a painting. It’s unbelievably peaceful. We went to wineries which are super close by and then hung out by the pool for our other full day. We were enjoying the house so much we ended up cancelling our dinner plans so we could spend more time at this place. Helen and Graham have stocked this place with everything you could ever need. And they were the nicest hosts! I cannot wait to come back someday soon. If this place is available - you have to book it! You‘ll be so happy you did.

Beautiful House and Great Experience

The house is amazing and equipped with everything you need. Every window feels like a live painting with the beautiful landscape that surrounds it. Each ambiance is cozy and well planned, the art decoration makes it even more special. The owners of Elen and Graham made us feel very welcomed. They gave great recommendations on what to do in the area, including amazing restaurants. They did everything to make our stay the best possible. Me and my family had a great time staying here 10/10.
