I booked this hotel because the rooms have full kitchens and I planned on cooking dinner each night. I called the hotel to ensure that the rooms did have everything needed to cook meals for a family of 4 and I was told yes, they did.
When we arrived and were assigned a room, after unpacking half of our items, we realized that the handles for the stovetop were broken and the cooktop would not work. We repacked our things and were assigned to a new room that did have a working cooktop. However, the only cooking item in the room was an extremely small pot and lid that I could pick up with one hand.
The first morning the breakfast at the hotel was fine, it was a weekend and the breakfast included biscuits, grits, waffles, etc so that everyone in my family had something to eat. Unfortunately, that is only offered on the weekends which I did not know before booking this hotel. There were no plain biscuits, no waffles, no grits and the orange juice was out 2 days in a row. The “scrambled eggs” were undercooked each day we were there.
Both my husband and I experienced rude service from most of the staff, only the young woman who checked us in was professional and seemed to understand that she was working a job. When my husband asked the front desk for more bath towels, she sighed because she was on her cell and acted put-out to have to stop her personal conversation. I had to ask the front desk for pool towels and the man acted the same way, also on his cell the whole time.
