Great Family Beach House and 5% off weekly stays!

Year round is wonderful at Folly Beach, and Dolphin Cottage makes a beach vacation in this eclectic little seaside town even better.

The cottage is named after a dolphin that was rescued from inside the house after Hurricane Hugo, Dolphin Cottage offers a light, open space to relax with family and friends. Even better, canine family members are welcome too! The maximum number of pets is 2, and there is a non-refundable pet fee of $150.00 for one pet and $200.00 for 2 pets. This goes towards extra cleaning and pest control services. Thank you for understanding!

The kitchen, dining, and living areas come together under a vaulted ceiling, and a wall of windows overlooks a secluded garden where the large deck flows through the tropical greenery. Bamboo floors and bright colors with whimsical accent walls hand-painted by the owner create a cool and easy place to spend a vacation.

The combination of quality linens, a king in the master bedroom, a queen bedroom, and two twins bedroom, ensures a good night’s sleep. The two artistically-decorated full baths are generously-sized. The kitchen has everything needed for cooking and sharing meals together, and the private garden deck offers a shady respite from the sun and an outside grill. There is also a washing and dryer.

Only a few blocks to the beach, playground, tennis courts and Center Street, with it's shops and restaurants, this house is the perfect location for being in the mix of everything that is Folly Beach. And of course, historic Charleston is only 12 miles away, where you can admire the architecture, soak up the city's vibrant history, view art exhibits, and even book a pirate tour with the whole family.

Perfect get away

This was the first time we traveled for our spring break and we couldn’t be happier with our choice. Being from the NE, we are patiently awaiting warmer weather so SC was a great place to find it! Folly Beach is a great beach town with lots of shopping and many fun and interesting places to eat. The city has an eclectic vibe that reminded us of Austin and we loved it. We explored Graffiti walk and Morris Beach/Island. We walked all over the town and explored every inch of Center Ave.We loved the proximity to Charleston and spent a day there which is amazing in itself. Our kids asked if we could come back next year and make it our spring breaks tradition:)

Great Christmas stay with family

Clean lovely space with large common living room, dining space and kitchen. We had 5 adults and one child, and we had a blast. The art was so much fun, and we appreciated the beach toys and easy access to all things on Folly.

Fabulous Stay!!

Thanksgiving in Folly

My husband and I and our 3 adult girls stayed at the cottage over Thanksgiving week. The location is ideal. Walk to the beach, walk into town and Charelston is only a 20 minute drive. The cottage was stocked with everything we needed, plenty of towels, hand soaps, toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, etc…..we would definitely stay again.

Beachy stay!!

Such a cute house! Beachy colors and arty items all over. House was very comfortable for my family reunion. The master bedroom bathroom had sinks on 2 different walls, so those counters were very large and separated, so 2 people could easily spread their toiletries out. It also had its own door to the deck, which was very nice to sit on in the morning. The living room, dining room, and kitchen were all in one open space, so it was easy to connect with each other. The living spaces are all on one level. The only stairs to climb are the few that go up to the front door. The beach is a very short walk away, as is the downtown area. No need to drive any where. Which means you don't have to pay to park!

Great house and great location

Great house for a one-family stay. Perfect if you don’t want to do stairs. Close to the beach!! Exceptionally clean. The owner was very responsive. I had no issues whatsoever with the house. It was a great stay. Thanks to the owner and the property manager for helping make this a great vacation. Ice maker in fridge works great. No need to buy ice!!! PS. You don’t need beach chairs or skim boards - there are at least 5 chairs at the house. My only complaint would be with the town police department for not making any effort to enforce the speed limit on these roads, which should really be a priority given that there are no sidewalks and everyone is walking into town.

Wonderful!

This home was perfect for our family of 4. Super clean, full kitchen sets for cooking and dining, everything in working order. We typically stay one block closer, but the extra little walk was nothing. Highly recommend, and we will rent again if available for our timing!

Beautiful Folly Beach!

Our first time to South Carolina and Folly Beach. Dolphin cottage was perfectly positioned for the beach as well as all the restaurants and shops. We were very comfortable and wanted for nothing. We had wind, rain and lots of heat with even a terrific thunderstorm thrown in for entertainment. Great community, everybody really welcoming and Rita’s is a must. Had a dolphin boat trip out to Morris Island which was fabulous. Charleston is a foodie and shoppers paradise and a plantation visit is a must, so much history! The mosquitos, they were brutal, beware! Fantastic holiday, we’ll be back😊

Feels like home

This is our second stay at the Dolphin and we feel right at home. All the amenities are there, and location can't be beat. Spent as much time as I could with the dogs on the deck - the shade is perfect. We can't wait to be back.

Great space for beach stay. Short walk to beach. House and yard set up well for pets! Internet was a little spotty and TV service only streaming, so sometimes a bit inconvenient. Loved the vibe of the cottage and had everything we needed!
