The room was a motel room, and was clean and fine for our needs while visiting Acadia national park and Bar Harbor. The only reason why I didn’t give it 5 stars is because the room we stayed in was too loud for me. We were located right next to a stairwell that the door was being opened and closed repeatedly, plus the room was located right above the bustling street. "Afternoon tea and breakfast offerings were always-changing and unique. We enjoyed the privacy of our cottage room, but the community of the house and dining. Cottage Inn staff was all friendly and helpful! The proximity to everything was very convenient. The water pressure was incredible as well."

"Underwhelmed. Cottage was adorable at first. Not the cleanest, bugs in windows, stains on rugs and chairs, chips on the floor. Woke up to no hot water. The bathroom was clean. Went to front to ask about it and grab “coffee”. Honestly, coffee was similar to motor oil. A keurig would have been a better choice for the lobby. Maintenance came while we were at breakfast. I followed up and was told that I turned off breaker, which I didn’t do. Girl was polite when I asked for a refund for the 2nd...

"No attendant when we checked out. Please note that the doorknob to the bathroom for our room(201) was falling off. I hand tightened. Need either shades or bigger curtain in the window. Due to front door below our room, was slammed many times and during sleeping hours. We love the close proximity of the conviences, everything was in walking distance! We would stay here again! Loved your breakfast and loved This Way Cafe!!! Hope to see you again!!!"
