"The location is fantastic. Very close to all the bars and nightlife but not in the noise of it. Staff were very helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was huge, (could have included beans though).. "We spent one night here on our way from Dublin to Kilkenny. The staff were prompt and very polite. The location is rural, but the facility is top notch. "Our stay at the castle could not have been nicer from the moment we arrived and met Seamus, who welcomed us and helped us bring our bags in, we knew we were in for a great stay. "Total gem and worth going a bit off the beaten path. Wonderfully renovated and welcoming spaces. On a cool night there were small fires in the fireplaces in the lobby and in the restaurant. The dinner at the restaurant was the best of our trip, and the included breakfast in the morning was also fabulous. Walkable little town with several historical points of interest, a Friday morning farmers market, and lots of locals at Joyces pub and bakery. We wished we had booked for more than one night. "
