"The food was out of this world, presentation, taste and service in the restaurant. Spoke to staff and the Chef after my meal and the passion for the food and the standards was evident. I will 100% recommend and stay again."

"Nothing wrong the aesthetics of the hotel and appeared clean. Staff were good. Just the second Marston’s Inn in a year that I’ve been bitten badly by bed bugs. Reported and hopefully will get sorted. 100% will not stay at another Marston’ Inn."

"The hotel is looking a bit tired and in need of an update. The room was fine...no safe, furniture a bit tatty and some black mould around the bath/shower. Only 1 dressing robe and slippers in the room, although booked as a couple. Room service was a bit random. The sandwiche that arrived was not great, with a tired piece of lettuce, 2 small tomatoes and some tortilla chips. Breakfast was again fine but nothing to write home about. The hot food had the air of being put out for the opening...

"Perfectly adequate stay. We were only there for a brief overnight stay for a graduation. Booked 3 rooms. Twin room excellent, huge beds and bathroom, other double rooms a lower spec. Beds super comfy, very dark and well air conditioned rooms. Friendly and efficient reception staff. Parking included. Fast check in and checkout. Didn’t use bar or restaurant so can’t comment. Taxi ride into Uni and centre of town."

"Hotel looked great online and like a 1970s holiday camp when we arrived with metal staircases and chalet rooms We also had a lovely guest decide to smash the room up under us and threaten everyone police called not 1 member of staff checking anyone was ok Breakfast was awful all in all never to be repeated again"

"I paid over £200 for one night here. The experience was very poor. I chose it because the hotel is centrally located and has a decent pool. At check-in the receptionist was more interested in talking to her friend than in her customer. The room was clean, but very averagely furnished. Ridiculously, if you chose to use the bath, there is no soap or shampoo within reach (see photo). The dispensers are fixed to the inside shower wall, so you’d have to get out of the bath for soap. "The hotel is conveniently located close to everything. The train station was less than 10 mins walk. There's a Tesco express and a Sainsbury's right outside the hotel. The room was clean and spacious enough to fit a queen bed, double sofa bed and a cot. We had a comfortable sleep. We used the pool once, there was a steam room as well.
