"The staff were amazing- really helpful and friendly. The room was clean and tidy and the bed was comfy enough with plenty of pillows. The shower was not so good, with very low water pressure, so it barely dribbled out. There was shower gel and shampoo and conditioner provided, which was useful (even if washing it off was not straightforward!) I hadn’t anticipated getting breakfast, so the basket of fruit, brekkie bars, bagel and pain au chocolat was a real bonus."

"Last minute booking at the george lovely hotel with fab breakfast in a gorgeous village. We had the cheapest twin room but hadn’t realised the bathroom was accross the hall from the room when booking. It was okay as we were only their a night. Breakfast was good also would recommend just don’t book that room ."

"Stayed for 3 nights. Parking at the rear always available, From 'check in' onwards the staff were pleasant, helpful and professional, including carrying our bags to the first floor room. The double room was quite spacious, with it's own short 'hall' to the bath/shower room and door to the main hotel landing, so you enter into a short hall and not straight into the bedroom, nice touch. "What a lovely little trip to Wookey Hole. Really comfortable and convenient hotel for a day out to the caves. Staying at the hotel allowed for an easy day out with the children. Nice sized room with comfortable beds for 2 adults and 2 children."

"Hi Jamie is a lovely young lady that runs the pub. Very helpful. The property is an old pub. There’s homemade food but no breakfast. But up the hill is a great cafe called The Hive. Unfortunately due to the heat we had to have window wide open, the problem is that it’s a is a busy road and therefore you hear lots of traffic noise even late at night . The bedroom 2 has a blind on back wall that lets light in from hall way .( I personally would block ) The shared bathroom needs some work (...

"Great little pub in a wonderful countryside location. A nice stopping place for visiting Bristol or Bath and the surrounding areas. I had a lovely dinner here too. Highly recommend."

"We stayed in a superior double room very large room and massive bathroom - no air con but there was a floor standing fan each side of the bed so nice touch - lovely breakfast room and good selection - the negatives no wardrobe just a small rail with a couple of hangers but ok if it’s just for 1 night - no laundry bag"

"A perfect room for visiting Bath. The room was very large well decorated and very comfortable. The host Richard was a Joy very attentive to any of our needs and full of interesting stories. "The staff are lovely, and the property and gardens are beautiful (although they’re not quite as new or updated as the photos make it seem). It’s more of a charming quiet calm hotel in the countryside. My only issue was that the carpet had tons of large stains on it, which was rather gross and I’d expect a hotel to have a vacuum cleaner that can take stains out of the carpet.
