La naturaleza espera! We had such an amazing time at this unique cabin near Lake Huron. Everything was warm and inviting—from the welcome card and gift of honey to the wee (crocheted, not alive! ) mouse hanging out over the kitchen table. Not to mention the beautiful chimes outside the sunroom—I would love to know where they came from. We will definitely be back! Thank you, Leslie and Steve.

Just like it says…cozy log cabin! Has all amenities with utmost charm. Quiet peaceful and suited 5 adults just fine! Dinners in backyard under screened in gazebo great to keep wasps out. Has toys for kids and dog if family coming. 10min drive to main beach Goderich and walkable smaller beach end of road and down steep path. Ok for most adults unless you have some mobility issues walking. Great bakeries in Goderich! Sunsets stunning …love Lake Huron. Thank you Leslie and Steve for hosting us!

A lovely quiet spot near the beautiful town of Goderich. Many nearby golf course - a bonus for the golfer in the family. The kitchen is well stocked with every kind of basic condiment, oil, vinegar, soy etc. Next time we’d know and bring fewer tiny jars with such things from home. (Not all cottage rentals are so thoroughly stocked up.)The layout is very good for families with some members who go to bed earlier in that the TV for watching dvds is in a back extension so the sound doesn’t carry up to the 2nd floor loft sleeping spaces. Although the week we went was cool enough at night that we didn’t need the available air conditioning, this had been a very hot summer and we might well have needed it. Good to have the option. Check in was easy. The living room was comfy for a rainy day with lots of family games and books but we spent most of our time outside in the hammock, on the back deck, or having meals in the screened portion of the back deck.Would recommend!

We enjoyed 3-generation family time at this cottage. The host Leslie has taken care of every detail, and we really lacked for nothing, even a sewing kit when our daughter needed to repair some pants. We had one challenge with our 6'2" grandson who could not get into the loft area without bumping his head, but slept all right on the couch. Our younger grandkids really enjoyed their privacy in the upstairs loft. Maybe it was the time of year, but the bugs were pretty bad, so we were thankful to play games and have our dinners in the screened in gazebo. It was a good family time for these two seniors. Large, cozy, rustic log cabin with a well-stocked kitchen, two comfortable living rooms, and beautiful property and patio area. We enjoyed all of our meals in the dining gazebo (except on one rainy day). About 20 minute walk to a quiet beach. A wonderful retreat.

A truly "Happy Place"

We stayed a week at this amazing property. From getting details from Leslie to our arrival right through the entire stay we loved it. There were tiny details (like a wee pot of honey) that made a spectacular place even sweeter. We spent our time exploring the area and relaxing on the deck or in the sunroom. Perfect stay - thanks!

A Gem of a Cabin

Black’s Point Cottage is indeed a Happy Place, a serene and charming retreat. It is very clean, cozy and thoughtfully decorated, with full attention to detail. Leslie obviously wants her guests to enjoy themselves there, and they do. The beds are comfortable and all the amenities are provided. There were only two of us staying, for a brief time, so we didn’t make use of many of these, and although we were fortunate in the weather, we didn’t make much use of the outdoors and grounds. But I can imagine how pleasant it would be to be there later in the season. Leslie was wonderful to deal with throughout. Highly recommended!

Snow globe experience!

The cabin is so quaint and inviting. There is absolutely everything you need for a comfortable stay. The kitchen is very well equipped with all the essentials. The two sitting areas were well used and the wood stove area was beautiful to sit in and look out at the snow falling. It was perfect!

Great winter getaway!

We meet up with our adult kids and had a great weekend together. We loved that the cottage we spacious enough that we could enjoy quiet reading time by the gas fireplace ot tv by the woodstove. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals.

Wonderful, Relaxing Log Cabin

Very beautiful log cabin with everything you need for a relaxing getaway!! Extremely clean and a cozy cottage with a lovely wood stove that was enjoyed all weekend. Thanks Lesley and Steve for letting us stay. Will highly recommend and hope to be back again soon!

Beautiful Fall Vibes Log Cabin

This cozy cottage has incredible fall vibes with a cool loft, stone fireplace, and sun room in the back! It is a nice location, it feels remote, although you are a short drive from Goderich. It's a pretty short walk to Blacks Point Beach, which is so cool. Gravel trail down the bluffs to a nice, but a bit rocky, beach with a nice view north to Goderich and the lake in general. Our host was very nice and check-in and check-out process was very easy. We wish we had booked a longer trip!

Great Gals Getaway

Longtime friends stayed at this charming home that had such a warm and cosy feeling. The kitchen was well equipped. The ladder going to the second floor room is a little tricky for 65-year-old knees, but younger folks wouldn’t have much of an issue. We even managed to take a dip in the lake in Oct. It was quite private, and the lawn was spacious enough to play fetch with the dog. Leslie was a gracious hostess, and as one participant exclaimed, I hit it out of the park with this choice!

Great place/ property to hang out with my family. The cabin was very cosy and had very comfortable beds. The kitchen was well equipped and there were so many nostalgic games to play. Had a very large private yard with a gazebo. It was a fun place and close to lot of things to do in town.

Joyfully cozy

The rustic cozy log cabin was a beautiful backdrop to spend time with my wife and friends. The cabin provided enough space for personal privacy while allowing time to socialize and nurture friendship.
