Home on the mesa’s edge the Proverbial Million Dollar View, jacuzzi and orchard

Come nest in our Roost hanging over the edge of Cedar Mesa! Million dollar views in all directions including down! 3800 square foot home on 1.5 acres with plenty of parking (including RV setup) and an orchard. 4 large bedrooms with 9 beds (1 CK, 2Q, 2bbs and 2f) along with 3 full baths make this a great place for a family get away . High speed fiber and ROKU make this a wonderful place to work from home (if you can avoid being distracted by the view!). Outdoor jacuzzi and fence dog area as well.
The space
This 3500 square foot space is all about the incredible view. Drinking your coffee in the morning on the back deck is the perfect way to get yourself started.

Inside the home has been fully remodeled with new floors and beds. I would describe the vibe as western Colorado modern. There is also a dog door in the kitchen to allow your fur babies to join you in our fenced in private orchard.
Other things to note
Here on the Western Slope we have a very dry climate. As such it is common to use evaporative cooling systems in place of air conditioning units. In the hottest parts of the summer the unit keeps the home in the low to mid 70s during the day. During the spring fall and winter we enjoy the crisp mountain air or turn on the central heating system.

Amazing House With A View!

Wow! What a wonderful experience for my wife, our adult daughter, and myself! The house met and exceeded our expectations. One of the critical elements of a great stay is environmental and July is warm and the A.C. worked amazing! We stayed cool and comfortable. The kitchen had every amenity, several meals were grilled outside, the living areas provided all the creature comforts of home. The view from every part of the back of the house is stellar, the deck patio was a morning and nightly routine as each evening the sunset was the show to watch. Top all that off with the Jacuzzi and you have the perfect exclamation mark. Throw in the Mesa experiences of off roading, fishing, and hiking, then a day trip to Arches National Park and there you have it, Amazing!

Amazing Views - Everything You Could Want

Our stay was only for 3 nights as we were here on a business trip. Everything was very clean and organized. Host sent very detailed instructions and process was very smooth. Each of us had our own private bedroom. (4 in total) We used the grill and enjoyed the views every morning and night. Hope to make it back!

Thanksgiving 2024

We joined our Cedaredge family for Thanksgiving this year. We enjoyed having this space to spend time with our adult sons in between festivities at my in-laws home. It was large, comfortable and the view is spectacular. The master bed was very comfortable . Be careful driving up to the house lots of beautiful deer around here!

We had a wonderful stay in Cederedge! The house was big enough for all of us. We really appreciated being able to bring our dog. The dog door and fenced back yard area were fantastic. The owner was easily contacted and very helpful. Thanks for a great stay!

Family time

The wonderful view from the deck of The Roost encompasses Cedaredge and the surrounding valley, with Grand Mesa as a backdrop. This home, tucked among the cedars on an hill outside of Cedaredge was very nice inside, easily accommodating my wife, daughter and myself (we could have had another family easily stay) during our visit. Everything we needed aside from the provided dry goods, grill, appliances, dishes and utensils was available at the market, an easy 10 minute drive. Inside the house we were comfortable, the tasteful decor and thoughtful amenities (ceiling fans, AC unit, walk-in showers, body soap and shampoo) all let us enjoy our peaceful stay. We spent every morning and evening out on the deck, getting cool breezes and beautiful views. I would definitely seek out this house again - it allowed us to thoroughly enjoy our stay.

The place was a little further out of town than some might want. This was offset by the great views of the valley and town as well as massive amounts of space to spread out in the house. The host had excellent communication with us before and during our stay.

Home on the Mesa's Edge

The house is wonderful! It's completely remodeled inside. It's quiet and the views are great! It has a doggie door and a fenced yard. It would be difficult to find a better place for dogs. The house is at 7,000 ft on the mesa to the east of Cedaredge. It's about a 10 minute drive from town. We were there in mid December to Nordic ski at Grand Mesa. There was a lot of snow up at Grand Mesa but hardly any snow at the house. Cedaredge is not what you would call a resort location but the house made us feel like we were staying in a fancy resort. I highly recommend this property.

Beautiful views

The views from the deck are wonderful, we loved watching the hummingbirds. House was very clean and spacious. We enjoyed spending time on the Grand Mesa, on hot days it was so much cooler. Great, quiet location and we really appreciated the fenced in yard for our dog. Apricots were ripe on the trees in the yard, that was a yummy treat!

Fantastic!!

What a wonderful place! From the beautiful wood floors to the wonderful built-ins, not to mention the fantastic, extensive view of the valley from the deck. Each room was beautifully decorated and furnished. The kitchen was very well laid out and a pleasure to cook in. Having the hot tub was a wonderful way to relax after a day of fishing, hiking and exploring Cedaredge and the surrounding towns. Couldn't ask for a more wonderful home away from home! Can't wait to go back again.

Million Dollar Views

Dylan’s house was fantastic. Great location close to Grand Mesa National Forest, Black Canyon of the Gunnison, Montrose, Telluride.. the list is endless. And million dollar views! The house had everything we needed and plenty of room. Check-in process was super easy and communication with Dylan was prompt. And the kids loved the bunk room. Great custom bunk beds. We will definitely be back to stay when visiting our family in the area.

Grand Mesa Stay

My group really enjoyed our stay. Cedaredge is a remote, quiet town, but with the grocery store and other amenities, we had everything we needed. As noted in the on-line overview of the house, the view from the deck is very nice. The rooms were clean, entertainment systems worked great as did all the appliances. House has many board and other games to play and the grill works well. We did not get to sample the hot tub, but it looked like it would have been nice. It was hot and clean and is located under the upper deck.There is plenty of parking. House is located on a large lot in a quiet area. The summit of the Grand Mesa is not far away with beautiful views. Grand Canyon of the Gunnison National Park is about 30 to 40 minutes away.Highly recommend this place.

Perfect getaway with amazing views!!

Staying at the roost was an amazing choice! We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay! When it comes to being accommodating this place had it all from a full kitchen stocked with everything you need to cook, entertainment, hot tub and beautiful views over looking the town of cedaredge. If you're looking for an amazing place to stay on the western slope I would highly recommend staying here!! By far the best VRBO I've stayed at!!

The Roost is a beautiful & quiet spot to enjoy time away from the hustle n bustle of everyday life! The owners are easy to communicate with and were very helpful during our stay which was a real plus. We highly recommend the Roost!
