Luxurious Cabin in DuPont State Forest near trails and recreation.

Nestled on 16 privately-owned acres, this cabin is ideally located adjacent to the Corn Mill Shoals parking lot in DuPont State Forest, just outside of the property line of the forest. The cabin's location is perfect for those wishing to mountain bike or horseback ride in the forest, as well as hikers wishing to explore & enjoy the beautiful waterfalls. This luxury log cabin is appointed with all of the furnishings necessary to relax and enjoy your vacation. The furniture is locally-made of hickory to complement the rustic exterior of the cabin. The mattresses in both of the main level bedrooms (1 King, 1 Queen) are tempurpedic mattresses, and the bed linens are high end. The master bathroom features an oversized Jacuzzi tub. The upstairs loft has bunk beds and a day bed with a half bath. All of the bedrooms have a TV w/ service provided by Direct TV. WiFi is also available.

The cabin is surrounded by a large wrap-around deck with a large built-in bench, a large outdoor dining table, and plenty of rocking chairs and Adirondack chairs. The front porch boasts rocking chairs, as well as a porch swing. Also provided are a charcoal grill, and a fire pit area with a large Cowboy Cauldron.

Our cabins are professionally cleaned and provided with all linens and towels, a starter supply of soap, toilet paper, paper towels, dishwasher and laundry detergent, and firewood.

Higher than Five Stars. Our stay was perfect from beginning to end. The property manager Mandi was fantastic and was so helpful and friendly from the beginning to the end. Communications with Mandi was in minutes rather than hours.It is a beautifully appointed cabin that is so comfortable. We loved the large windows and wraparound porches surrounded by the quiet forest. The cabin, kitchen and bathrooms are spotlessly clean. The beds were very comfortable.Unlike most rental cabins, the owners provide everything guests need for a perfect stay. The owners stock a generous supply of very high-quality real firewood. Not the cheap store-bought bundle of sticks that most cabins provide. We very much enjoyed the fireplace on the chilly mornings, and the cozy evening.The cabin has super-fast broadband internet at 250 Mbps , so we could stream anything such as Netflix or Paramount. While there is no cell phone signal, our phones worked perfectly on the cabin’s network.It is very apparent that the owner and Looking Glass Property Management take great pride in this cabin and the attention to detail is amazing.Thank you Mandi for a wonderful We are already planning our return visit to the cabin.

Perfect property for a quiet, montain getaway. Close proximity to Dupont State Park (location allows for hike or bike to trailhead directly from the cabin) and a short drive to Brevard. Beautiful cabin with nice outside space.

The house is absolutely lovely—beautifully maintained and thoughtfully appointed. Its remote location added to the charm for us, offering peace, privacy, and a true getaway from the everyday.The gate at the property entrance can be a bit cumbersome, but we appreciated the added sense of security and felt it was worth the effort to keep it locked.One small note for future guests: while there is a charcoal grill available, charcoal is not provided, so plan accordingly if you’re hoping to grill.Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would happily return!

House is quite nice. Property is pretty. Location, with regard to hiking and Brevard’s amenities, was perfect!We were unable to use outdoor dining due to a yellow jacket nest under the deck. The grill grate was too rusty to use. More window screens would have allowed us to enjoy the cool nights.

We've stayed in this house before, so we obviously love it enough to return. It's quiet, private, and super close to Corn Mill Shoals parking lot in DuPont. Access to hiking and biking is so close! The kitchen is well stocked and all the beds are super comfy. The only downfall is that the upstairs loft area doesn't have enough AC vents so it gets very warm in the summer. Although there are fans provided, it was still uncomfortable up there when trying to fall asleep. For kids, that may not be a big deal. As an adult, it wasn't great. We had this same issue when we stayed 5 years ago and I was hoping the owners would have installed a mini-split or something up there to make it cooler during the summer months. Other than that, the house was great and we 100% would stay again!

Nice place

Great place to stay. Very well kept and clean. Big deck to hang out on. Located close to trails and there is a short cut to get to them right off the side of the driveway. Worked great with walking our dog. Highly recommend.

Perfect Getaway

I have stayed at this property many times over the years. It never disappoints me with the solitude and peace. The owner’s attention to detail in their home is very apparent. The beds and linens are good quality and the kitchen has ample supplies for making those memorable vacation meals. The only reason I didn’t rate it 5 star on cleaning is because, there were some small issues that I couldn’t overlook. The patio furniture (high end) was scattered about on the deck and the interior was not as pristine as I am used to with this home. All in all this house is worthy of a stay to the most discriminating guests.

Relaxing near DuPont State Forest

We enjoyed our stay at this property! It was very clean and well-appointed. We especially enjoyed the space and solitude of the property, as well as its proximity to mountain bike trails. We would stay here again and recommend to friends. The only suggestion I have is to improve the cookware. Other than that, it’s perfect!

Great place!

Absolutely gorgeous! Lots of privacy and beauty and close to many trails and waterfalls. We enjoyed the Cedar Mountain Cafe and a short trip into nearby Brevard. Highly recommend!

Wonderful cabin near Brevard

We were picking up kids from summer camp and enjoyed a few extra days in the area. The property was clean, comfy beds, great outdoor furniture - rockers, dining table and chairs, fire pit with Adirondack chairs. We enjoyed our stay.
