Our experience was excellent from the second we arrived to the second we left! The host checked in with us to make sure everything was to our liking. He was friendly and available for any needs - and included some special touches to make us feel welcome! The house is set up well to accommodate its guests. We liked how each floor had its own bedroom and bathroom. And, the house had plenty of amenities to keep us entertained when we weren't out exploring the area. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful two night stay this fall, in this perfectly appointed home. There are so many extras, like a coffee/tea station games, gas grill, fire pit, both propane and wood burning.Everything was perfect for a couple of families to make great memories together.All of that said the absolute best part of this property is the amazing host Matthew, from the moment of booking all the way through checkout follow up this is the best VRBO we’ve ever stayed in.

This home was just perfect for our family of all ages from 15 to 81. We spent several days exploring the area, and it was so nice to come back to such a pretty spot. Matthew communicated with me several times before and during our trip to make sure we had all the information and recommendations we needed—even a good spot to find Petoskey stones at a nearby beach! He left wonderful treats for us, and it was clear that he cares about this home and every detail.The home was extremely clean with space for everyone. We would definitely choose Matthew’s home again!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Chalet. The home is very comfortable and it was close to family that lives nearby. While the reason for our stay was very sad, our niece's celebration of life service, it helped to have a peaceful, quiet and relaxing place to retreat to. We will definitely look into staying here again.

I have never felt more comfortable staying somewhere and the home itself was beautiful and everything I could have ever asked for to celebrate my sisters bachelorette weekend! We had the best time at Matthew’s property! We had 3 families staying (one with 2 younger kids) and having separate bedrooms and bathrooms was perfect for us. Check in was super simple and we didn’t have any issues. The house was super clean and the amenities were excellent - the hand soap smelled so good; we loved that he provided shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in each of the bathrooms; towels were also provided, both for showers and the beach. Matthew was such a great host leaving a bottle of wine and items for s’mores (which the kids loved!). This was truly home away from home!

Lovely little home in the woods complete with everything we could’ve needed - beach towels and chairs, coffee, dog bowls & towels. Great introduction to Michigan

Was our first time to the Michigan area and we had a great time. Close location to great beaches and towns. Only stayed for three days and didn’t get everything thing in one we fell in love with the beach! Which was cold but didn’t bother the little one a bit. House was great, all the extras were a nice touch. Matthew was a great host thank you for a memorable family vacation!

Stayed with family and kids aged 1.5 to 5 and we loved it. Kids toys in the house, Boogie boards and sand toys much appreciated. Upstairs bedroom is a loft, wish there were walls and a door, but overall would definitely recommend!
