At Sugar Maple Mountain Retreat our beautiful light-filled cabins are set deep in the woods and surrounded by hundreds of acres of preserved forestland. Perfect for those looking for outdoor adventure or a quiet get away. Enjoy complimentary use of our paddleboards and kayaks on one of two local ponds then relax in our wonderful hot tub at the end of the day and top it off with a cozy fire in your private fire pit steps away from your front door. Step out of the ordinary and into the extraordinary when you book this rustic-chic getaway with its peaceful location.

Our heated and air conditioned cabins have oversized windows in two stories that surround you bringing the beauty of the outdoors in. Each of our 3 cabins has an open loft bedroom and a couch in the living area that folds out to a bed. Just outside the front door you'll find your own fire pit, BBQ grill and comfy Adirondack chairs. Perfect for a couple, small family or a few friends!

Our beds are comfy cozy with quality bedding, down pillows and comforters. You'll be welcomed with heated bathrooms with robes, spa towels, soaps, quality toiletries and plush bath towels.

Our kitchen are fully stocked with basic spices, dishware, paper products and cooking utensils to enjoy cooking in or BBQing outside. Our coffee machines work with drip coffee, prepack K-cups or fill your own pod for single serve.

Our washer and dryer with complimentary detergent is available for guest use after 4pm and located in the utility building by the hot tub.

Our large hot tub is steps away from the cabins and open 24 x 7. It's shared between our three cabins.

Enjoy the escape! Sugar Maple Mountain Retreat is a destination in itself! Our cabins are a short walk away from two picturesque lakes, surrounded by hiking trails and picturesque country roads with access to VAST trails. Bring your bikes, fishing rods, snowmobiles, cross country skis or snowshoes. During summer, reserve one of our complimentary kayaks or paddle boards. Sit and enjoy the sounds of the woods, local loons on the lakes, barred owls and more. Our light pollution free space offers the most amazing starry nights nature has to offer or sit and watch a peaceful sunset at the lake with your favorite beverage.

When you're ready to venture out for dinner, sightseeing, shopping or a day on the ski slopes, we're only a short drive away from many wonderful areas!

Overall it was fabulous. The accommodations were perfect. The house was well equipped with the essentials you might need. The guest book was extremely helpful. The tool cabin had snow shoes available and summer items for those months. We did not use the hot tub due to time but did look at it and it was well kept and clean. They provided maps of hiking areas around us. It is a great location for large ski resorts and close to Ludlow for night life. We will be back! Thank you!

My fiancé and I stayed here for two nights for our anniversary. Everything was so cozy and the cabin had everything we needed. We enjoyed the hot tub very much. Wendi had some great recommendations for nearby restaurants. Overall our stay was amazing!

My stay at this cabin was genuinely transformative. I came here seeking solitude and a deeper reconnection with nature, and this property gave me exactly that — and more. The cabin is absolutely fantastic: peaceful, beautifully maintained, and surrounded by trails that made for perfect morning walks. I spent every evening by the outdoor fire pit, reflecting under the stars, and the hot tub was pristine and relaxing after long days outdoors.The cabin itself instantly felt like home. It reminded me how little space we truly need to feel safe, comfortable, and at peace. The large windows offer stunning views that make you feel as though you’re nestled up in a treehouse. I’ll cherish the time I spent here and absolutely plan to return in the future.

Fantastic place to stay. Clean, well appointed, hidden off in the woods but still fairly close to great food and cute little towns. Wonderfully comfortable bed. Good water pressure for nice hot showers. True luxury out in the woods. And Wendi was a dream to work with. Also, hot tub and a game yard! We are already trying to plan a return trip with friends and family taking the other cabins.

I highly recommend booking the Sugar Mountain Maple Cabin. We had a great stay this past weekend. The cabin is beautiful, very comfortable and immaculately clean. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots & pans, utensils, coffee pods, and common spices. The beds were comfortable and the a/c worked very well. We enjoyed paddling around the pond with the kayaks and paddle board. The hot tub was a great place to relax after our morning paddle and afternoon bike ride in nearby Woodstock. The communications we received from Wendi were greatly appreciated. It was helpful to receive the information book digitally with our booking confirmation. Wendi was also very quick to respond to any questions I sent her. This made for a smooth arrival and departure.

Remote, peaceful & private! Cabin (#3) was thoughtfully and tastefully laid out to enjoy, with everything that you would need. Bed was so comfortable, loved looking into the woods & enjoyed the sounds of nature everyday! Outside hot tub & firepit were a plus! Walking distance to lake. Can't say enough, just a great experience! Will definitely be back. fyi ... there are partially dirt/gravel roads a little distance up the road getting there. We had an SUV, no problems.

Wonderful place to stay

This cabin property is amazing. The cabin itself is adorable and super comfortable. They were very thoughtful in creating these cabins and we had everything we needed, easy to find and use. It was beautiful and really relaxing to look out all the windows at the woods. We will definitely be trying to come back to enjoy this spot again. My only somewhat critical feedback would be that the couch isn’t super comfortable and they could use a few blankets. The bed was very comfortable but it’s warm in the loft, so regular blankets for the bed would also have been nice since we couldn’t use the big comforter. Otherwise, heaven!

Great place

My family and I stayed at the cabin over school vacation and skied at Okemo. The cabin is great. Well designed, new, clean. Very comfortable for my family of 4. We hit the hot tub apres ski which was a nice treat. Would book again.
