"The apartment was very nice and had everything for your essentials. The host is quick to respond and helpful with check in. Although the apartment is at the top of the hill, once you walk it once it does get easier! There was also ice cold water waiting in the fridge… It also means there are great views and nice and quiet in the evening. Couldn’t recommend highly enough, and if I return will definitely stay here again."

"This place is beyond worth the hike. Such an incredible view from the balcony! Room was small but clean and comfortable. A/C worked great which is crucial when visiting end of July. The owners were a pleasure to work with, so kind and helpful! Loads of restaurants and shops within walking distance. Highly recommend to anyone interested in staying in Hvar."

"Amazing Stay at Porta Maestra – Perfect for a Group Trip Porta Maestra is a beautiful apartment-style accommodation that was perfect for our guys' trip. Room not dark enough at night due to blue and red lights from outlets, TV, etc and no English speaking TV channels. "Erg vriendelijk en hulpvaardig personeel. Bereid om over alles mee te denken om het verblijf nog aangenamer te maken. Het verblijf was minimalistisch maar schoon en netjes. Ook een prachtig uitzicht op de adriatische zee en de heuvel van het vasteland. Het centrum en de haven was op een paar minuten lopen. Met erg pitoreske en romantische straatjes. "This was my 5th time in Hvar and I had always taken airbnbs, so was a little bit cautious about taking a hotel, and after reading the reviews I was a bit suspicious. However! Once we got there we could see how great this hotel was!! The rooms are small but everything else was fantastic. They could use an actual gym and a better situation for ironing clothes. I would highly recommend staying at this location and would probably stay again."
