The lower level showcases a bedroom, bathroom, stunning living room and family room, providing ample space for relaxation and entertainment. The dining nook is a roomy and sunlit space, offering the ideal setting to share stories over dessert and create cherished memories that will last a lifetime. Upstairs, the ocean-view balcony invites you to soak in the beauty of the surrounding coastal landscape while enjoying refreshing sea breezes.

It's the perfect spot to unwind after a busy day at nearby LEGOLAND, one of Carlsbad’s pristine beaches, or a day of watersports at the nearby lagoon. The backyard is a haven of relaxation and entertainment with a lush turf area and a sandbox for the little ones. The spacious covered patio and outdoor kitchen allow you to enjoy alfresco dining and barbecues and the fire pit is the perfect addition to winding down for the evening. Things you should know:
There are 2 studios on the property with separate entrances. One studio is occupied by a long term tenant and there is a door that leads to a short hallway into the studio. Neither you, nor the tenant have keys to the doors and one cannot be accessed via the other. The other studio is reserved to the family of the owners when they are in town and also shares a door but it remains locked. Both studios front doors are behind the side gate to the north of the house. Also, no pets are allowed at this property. Sorry!

Coastal Getaway

What an amazing space for a big family getaway! We had plenty of space for 3 families with kids. The backyard space was so relaxing and lots of area for the kids to play. They loved the sand box! The house is beautifully decorated & the kitchen is a chef dream. It was a quick drive down to the beach and the house had lots of beach supplies (chairs, umbrellas & toys). We had the perfect vacation

Great location, wonderful house!

We had 6 adults and 3 children for a family birthday celebration. The house was immaculate, well stocked and had plenty of room for all of us! The host was so accomodating and obtained a couple of extra items we needed for the 2 year old, as well as letting us check in a little early. The house is very close to Legoland and only 35 minutes for San Diego. If we we are ever in this area again we would definitely stay here!!

Coastal Carlsbad Vacation Rental Review – San Diego

Our recent stay at this rental home in San Diego had both positive aspects and areas that required improvement. The home provided ample space to accommodate our group comfortably, and its location was convenient for exploring the area.However, we encountered several maintenance and cleanliness issues that impacted our overall experience. Upon arrival, we noticed that the property had not been thoroughly cleaned, as there were multiple spider webs and large spiders present inside the house. Additionally, the upstairs loft had peeling paint, which appeared to be the result of a previous water leak. The back patio screen was also damaged prior to our arrival.Further concerns included dirty AC vents, chipped bed frames, and a cracked lamp with missing pieces. These issues gave the home a neglected appearance and detracted from the comfort of our stay.While the property has potential, addressing these maintenance and cleanliness concerns would greatly enhance the guest experience. With proper upkeep and attention to detail, this rental could be a more inviting and enjoyable option for future visitors.

Family gathering for Christmas week

Had a family gathering with four children under six and six adults. The location and proximity to Carlsbad was great and a short walk to the grocery store and Starbucks. The back yard was great for the whole family and the kids enjoyed it very much. Overall we had a very good experience.

Roomy and comfortable

Beautiful property with lots of room for our extended family. We were in town for a wedding so the lack of street parking was inconvenient. The location though was perfect. We enjoyed the lagoon and the beach as well as having space to be together. We had a plumbing issue on our last night unfortunately but the property manager was very responsive. In all a great spot for family get together

We loved it, if I could find anything to improve on it would be small. Many homes we have stayed in stock the house with a few games or puzzles, but this is a tiny thing. The house is huge, and the backyard is great

Lots of kid friendly space

We used this as family housing while visiting Carlsbad for a zero birthday party. We visited Legoland and the beach, as well as walks and bird watching. This is a big house of a date if you know what I mean. It works well, and so do all the mod cons. Generous supplies of beach stuff in the garage and the garden is child proof The only down side is the street parking is a bit fraught because the neighbors resent vacation rentals.

Great location & nice house

We really enjoyed our stay. We were there with family and went to Legoland, San Diego Zoo and the beach and did some shopping in Carlsbad. The house was big enough to accommodate all 10 family members and had enough space for all to have fun!

Spectacular property

This home was wonderful for our family. Walking distance to Tamarack Beach. Great views and a fun backyard for kids. We enjoyed the sandbox, fire pit and the BBQ. The beds were exceptionally comfortable with quality linens. Very comfortable and beautiful decor.

Perfect setup

We were visiting for a soccer tournament but wanted to be in a location that we could still do some sight seeing. The property was big enough for 10 of us and had everything we needed in the house. Close to everything. Property managers were even flexible on letting us arrive early

Couldn't have worked out better.

This property exceeded our expectations. Plenty of room for 10 of us. Great for kids and adults. We enjoyed the location which was very quiet and friendly. I've stayed at many rentals and this was definitely a high light.

Carlsbad Keeper

This house in Carlsbad was exactly what we were looking for. We had a family reunion with family from all over the US. The house was spacious and comfortable. There were a couple of minor problems: The two-car garage doesn't fit two cars and still allow egress - a two large built-in made it impossible to open the car door. You could not park on the street, so that was a little stifling for visitors. A bathroom door knob didn't work, so privacy was sacrificed, and we could figure out how to lock the back door. This seems like nit-picking, and perhaps it is, but these were the issues. Other than that, we loved the place and would return.

Will Stay Here Again

Nice, large, clean home close to the beach. House seems to be recently renovated, has a very functional back yard with plenty of seating and a gas grill. House has has all of the basics to have a great family vacation.
