Kona Coast Original Beach Boys 9.5 acre Estate, Pool and Amazing Ocean Views

  • Kona recalls the Beach Boys playing their pop hits by the pool. The band left but the good vibrations linger. Situated on 9.5 gated acres, gated for with an amazing Hawaiian plantation-style home with separate sleeping quarters and a guest house. Pool hot tub, gas outdoor fire pit and tennis court make it feel like a mini-resort. Mature tropical fruit trees shelter exotic floral gardens.

    From the ages of 16 to 60 Baby Boomers embraced the dream of an endless summer evoked by The Beach Boys’ music. Whether you are attracted to the park-like landscape, secluded island get-away, breathtaking ocean views, or the idea of living with Rock & Roll history; this unique property will fire your imagination.

    At the center of the multi-structure compound, a big plantation-style home is a credit to a California architect who made the extra effort and captured the essence of a Hawaiian exotic retreat. Existing floor plans testify the main house and guest house were designed for Steven and Mike Love in 1972. From its cool, comfortable 1300 ft elevation the largest residence commands Kona coastline views that extend to include Kealakekua Bay and Kona. On Wednesdays you can see the cruise ship in he harbor.

    Beyond the gated entrance a concrete drive ascends to a regulation sized tennis court. where the band often played for parties. A screened room beside the court is used as the current owner’s gym.

    The beautifully remodeled kitchen and three of the four and a half baths retain tile custom made for the famous original owners. The main house offers three bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths. Guests also have full use of the 2 bedroom Ohana (guest house) consisting of 1 queen bedroom , 1 bedroom with double bunk beds, 1 bathroom, full kitchen and living room.

    Mature mango, coffee, avocado, lime, orange, banana, papaya, passion fruit and an assortment of other tropical fruit trees are the foundation plantings for multiple shade gardens filled with exotic flowers. If you are looking for a peaceful country hide-away, you must see the Beach Boys' Estate. You may hear the music, feel the good vibrations and never want to leave the warmth of the Kona sun.

The site is paradise. We arrived to a tour of the facilities. The host was gracious, and thorough. The buildings were spotless. The kitchen was well appointed. The star of the show, though, was the pool and hot tub which was used every afternoon by adults and children who had great fun.

Magical is how I would describe The Beach Boys Estate. The vibrations are good. On a clear day you can see the curve of the earth and if you like tropical rainstorms, the afternoon and early evening can be delightful. And it is cooler than down by the water.The kitchen has all of the cooking utensils needed, plus more... the basic spices and oils... and Guy, our host, is perfect. He is there when you have questions or need him, and you never see him when you don't. The Beach Boys Estate is like a resort without all the people. We loved it and hope to return one day.

Beautiful property that is well stocked with extras! The house was accurately listed and the views were stunning. Double washer/dryer was very convenient for our group of 9. We stayed during the Kona Low storm. We made the most of it with island activities and this beautiful, spacious rental. We even got in a little pickleball between rainfalls. Guy was very responsive to all our questions before and during our stay. Would definitely recommend this beautiful property!

This home was beyond our expectation. Room for everyone to spread out. Great gathering locations to sit and enjoy each other’s company as well. The grounds were fun to explore. The pool provided hours of entertainment for our kids young and old alike!!

Spectacular Estate

The views are beyond words. The property is spacious and well appointed. Tennis, pool, jacuzzi, fruit trees, grilling, lots of walking trails. Very family friendly. Multigenerational friendly.

Family vacation

Really enjoyed the grounds including gorgeous views and sunsets, picking fresh fruit, swimming in pool and hot tub, outdoor fire pit, pickle ball and tennis court. Location great if you like snorkeling at two-step with the best snorkeling on the island.

Fabulous location for a family getaway

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful house. Host was attentive and house was well-appointed with all you could need. We relaxed, took day trips to amazing sights and made good use of the pool, hot tub, large kitchen, and tennis courts. Highly recommend!

Beach Boys Retreat

The views were amazing! We loved all the fruit trees and the macadamia nuts and avacados. The swimming pool area was perfect and we enjoyed sitting on the decks every night.We had a wonderful time and if we ever get back we would definitely consider renting it again.

The house had everything we needed. We had a lot of fun at the pool and loved having the grills available to us. There were plenty of beach chairs and umbrellas which was great for beach days.

Beautiful views, excellent property, owner easy to work with and easy to access. We enjoyed our stay with family, had plenty of room. Pool area was great, covered balconies, sun porch and breeze way. We absolutely loved everything about our stay, hated to leave to head back home. Thank you for everything!
