"This is my second stay at Hotel Hive and I chose it again because it's so cute and very convenient. A 15 min metro ride from DCA and the metro is a 5 min walk away from the hotel. The rooms are small, yes, but that's why it's a micro hotel. It still has all the things you need. My only complaint is who decided to put a reading lamp attached to the wall 6 inches out at the HEAD of the bed? I definitely smoked my head off it more than once, which wasn't pleasant. That's my only complaint though,...

"The hotel did NOT clean the room after the first day we stayed, therefore the second night we had to clean the room ourselves. Breakfast is great, workers at the dining room are very helpful "

"Staff at the front desk greeted me warmly. When I shared that it was my first time staying at the hotel (and I visit Washington DC about 12 times a year), I received an automatic upgrade! Free Peleton in the room allowed me to workout in the morning before a full day of meeting. the coffee in the room was SUPERB! Can't tell you how relaxing it is to have a cup of fresh brewed decaf - so delicious - before rest! I can't wait to bring my husband!"

"The room was clean and well maintained. The AC unit worked well and was quiet. The bathroom is small but well laid out and the shower is well designed. The only (BIG) disappointment was the water flow from the sink. There was almost NO water — a tiny trickle. It made it hard to brush teeth or wash my face. The maid service was excellent. The front desk is good, especially a gentleman named DeAngelo, who is a gem: quietly in charge and competent. The location is of course excellent....
