"This is a great little find in a perfect, beautiful location. The staff are so friendly and helpful - we really wished we were staying longer and plan to come back shortly. The food (we had an evening meal and breakfast) was outstanding and such good value. We can't wait to return."

"We had a wonderful stay. Our room was small but very comfortable with views of the hills. The tea and coffee choices are the best I've ever seen anywhere. Lorna is a lovely host and makes the best breakfast with plenty of choices. The location is approx. 15 minutes walk into Keswick and the Threkeld trail, just down the hill, make walking there better away from the traffic. We would definitely recommend Brookfield and hope to vist again. "

"Really helpful team - we needed to collect keys early to attend a wedding and the team not only accomodated this but letbus check in to change Clean, tidy room with everything you need for a short stay. Utterly idyllic views brilliant location "

"Perfect find fir a few nights away with the bonus of parking in Keswick!! Hotel was beautiful and certainly above the ‘stars’ given. Bedrooms were massive and tastefully decorated. Breakfasts were amazing and plenty of it. Some decor dated bit the staff certainly made up for any of that. .. Kind, professional, knowledgable, engaging abd with a sense of humour. …. Certainly a credit to Hotel. Hotel has recently been modernised bit nit lost its Victorian charm. Definitely worth a visit "

"There is no lift in this hotel. It’s an old Manor House. All clean very spacious rooms , beautiful views. Breakfast was delicious. Very dog friendly "

"Great B&B quick check in by phoning the number on the door, keys in keybox after owner supplied code,spacious very clean room/beds ,tea & coffee,towels,shower gel,cotton buds & cotton pads (great extra).Great cooked breakfast, very friendly staff, 15 min walk to town centre with loads of restaurants.Free parking at the side of B&B"

"Absolutely stunning views from our room which was very cosy. Staff are friendly very responsive definitely go check out there cafe in town Freda & Ray best breakfast I have had in a while. "
