A distant view of Drangarnir, one of the most interesting natural landmarks in the Faroe Islands! Drangarnir is the sea stacks in the middle. I took this photo in/near the village of Bøur. Shortly after I visited another iconic landmark: Múlafossur Waterfall! I wish I had time to get a close-up view of Drangarnir, though. It is truly otherworldly! I took this photo on August 29th.

The genus of the famous author William Heinesen comes from the village Bour, which currently has around 75 inhabitants. The village has had a settlement since the Viking era and you get a wonderful view to the rocky island Tindholmur with its 5 peaks. Great location in the middle of the centre. And room was big with a shelf and a desk. There is no shower (bidet sprey is used as shower), no kitchen( there were some equipments downstairs ) but if you are ok with it, it’s fine. I still enjoyed the convenience of the location.
