"It's the second time we've stayed in this hotel and, generally, it fits the bill. The one niggle is the climate control in the room. Because it's the summer, the air con won't the air flow to be heated. Being rather cold blooded, we need some warmth. "The bed was comfortable but it was supposed to be a king size but it was a queen. I don't think they know what a real king size bed is in the UK! "This is how hotels should be. It was absolutely esquisite. The finishings on the building was amazing and consistent throughout and was echoed by the quality at every angle, from the welcome, to food, to service, you name it. Wonderful relaxed atmosphere and a lovely place to be. "A very pleasant place to stay. Our room was quite small, perhaps unsurprisingly for a venue in town, but clean and well appointed, with a separate toilet (and sink) and bathroom with shower and basin. Breakfast was fresh, well prepared and generous, and the staff were very accommodating. Would happily stay again if the occasion arose."

"An amazingly beautiful property in a stunning location. Gorgeous rooms and a lovely garden. The owner was so friendly, welcoming and helpful. The cooked breakfast was delicious, and the dining room was like a room from a fairy story. Can't wait to come back for a longer stay next time"

"We really enjoyed a brief one night stay with friends. A great location in the heart of a lovely town, a good selection of ales, friendly staff who make you feel welcome, and a really enjoyable dinner. Our room was comfortable, clean and with a nice en suite bathroom, and the breakfast was really good. Would certainly return."

"We had a friendly welcome from Jane and her staff. The room was comfortable and breakfast was excellent. The pub closed early on Sunday night, so we had to go elsewhere for food, but it meant a very peaceful night. Strongly recommended!"

"Nice and tidy, nice standard and extra amenities such as a fridge and microwave. Nothing not like apart from the cafe is not open in the evening but that was clean in the description, I just missed it."
