The room was a bit of a cold aesthetic with the floors and minimal rugs. I know that is the planned aesthetic, but with white walls, metal hangers and cold floors, hard chairs, it didn't provide a lot of comfort. Bed was okay, pillows were small and thin. The bathroom door did not close. Staff was kind and helpful. Rest of aesthetic of hotel was cool and more comfortable. We were on the first floor so had to keep curtains closed, would be great if windows had some kind of coverage so we could keep curtains open, for lighting, along with privacy. Prices of sundries items was exorbitant (I would expect a mark up for convenience but 2 small sized sodas and 2 bags of bettermade chips was $20!) Got a latte in the morning, which was very good. Overall, it served its purpose, and location was good.

We reserved 3 rooms. The AC in one of the rooms did not work. In 93 degree weather, over a 100 degrees in the room, this was unacceptable. We addressed the situation via email and in person multiple times, but we were not transferred to another room until after midnight. We were in Detroit for a concert and could not get ready properly due to the AC not working. I made a request for a refund on the hotels email, but I am assuming a refund may need to be initiated by Expedia since the booking was through you.
