"Rooms smelled musty, stale and were ratty. Staff was lovely, unfortunately, after seeing two different rooms, in the hopes of the original room simply being a dud, I forfeited my reservation and changed to another hotel in the area. The staff was very friendly and tried to help as best they could. An unfortunate experience. Sharaton should invest in updating this property as the location is wonderful."

"DO NOT STAY HERE. Overpriced, dirty, broken and situated directly above a night club. I was on the third floor and my husband could still hear over our call just how loud the music was. Crockery was dirty, fan broken, heating broken and not fixed (just added a small replacement radiator) TV and internet with hardly any signal and intermittent. Stinks of drains. Needs a paint and definitely not luxury and not like the pictures. I travel in London every week and this one stood out for being truly...

"The decorating is spectacular. Staff very pleasant and room gorgeous. However a nasty surprise to find the addition of a 60 pound service charge for staff, discretionary, which we had removed. This should be covered by the room charges which are very high indeed. "

"Unfortunately my stay at Egerton only lasted one night as the studio/bed sit I was on sprung a leak from the apartment upstairs at 3am. So bad that we had to be moved. While I can’t fault the egerton staff , they were fantastic, they couldn’t accommodate us in any of their other properties so we were moved to a larger apartment owned by the landlord. Sounds great but wasn’t. The apartment provided to us was awful. It was not a regular rental. It was a dumping ground for the cleaner who serviced...
