Secluded, self-contained converted stables, Russet

Russet is a newly renovated stable, set within the grounds of our Grade 2 listed farmhouse. It is situated on a quiet, secluded yard away from the main house with off street gated parking. Russet overlooks our fields where our Llamas, Alpacas, sheep and horses live. Located just outside the picturesque market town of Chipping Sodbury, we are also perfectly positioned for Bristol, Bath, Cheltenham, Cirencester, beautiful walks in the Cotswolds and the world famous Badminton and Gatcombe Horse Trials.

Great property small but 'perfectly formed". Had everything you need very comfortable. Best bit is the horses, sheep and lamas just outside. 5 mins to Yate station easy parking and train to Bristol City. Would definitely stay again.

A beautiful hidden gem

My Husband and I stayed in one of the converted stables and our friends stayed in one of the shepherds huts. We all absolutely loved our stay here. The kitchen was well equipped and everything was perfectly clean. Meeting all the farm animals was an extra bonus too. Sipping champagne in the late afternoon sun pre party time watching the ponies in the field was delightful. Jo was so friendly and made us all feel very welcome. With just a short drive into Chipping Sodbury the farm was perfectly located. Would definitely recommend and look forward to one day returning to enjoy the experience again.

weekend catch up

Travelled from North Yorkshire for a catch up with my sister who travelled from Devon.Brilliant countryside base. for a weekend. Easily accessible form motorways, quiet,clean comfortable,warm ( first frosts of 2023! ) Lots of outdoor and indoor things to do all within a 20 mile or less radius.

One week during the summer in Russet, where we have been kindly welcome. And also given advices for pleasant visits : the Arboretum, the Cotswold of Bourton on the water, some places in Bristol...Sweet memories !

Rural stay

Marcus snd Jo were great hosts and introduced me to their menagerie of animals. 😊 The accommodation was similar to a Studio type apartment and was adequate for me but might be a bit tight for 2 people for an extended period. However everything you needed was there and I had a very comfortable 3 night stay. Great location for most towns and villages in South Gloucestershire with Yate and Chipping Sodbury only 10 mins away.

Fabulous Place to stay!

I stayed for 4 nights. It was a brilliant place to stay. All the amenities I needed and all finished to a high standard. The communication and check in was easy and the owners were really friendly and helpful. One of the best places I’ve stayed.

Brilliant short break

Thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay here. Very cosy accommadation with everything you need. Totally spotlessly clean and a high standard of interior decoration. Very quiet location but many places of interest within an hour's drive. Lovely friendly hosts. Would be happy to stay again.

Een rustig zeer landelijk gelegen accomodatie, met veel wandelmogelijkheden. In de buurt voorzien van alle gemakken. Mooi ingericht en nieuw en alles is aanwezig. Zeer vriendelijke en gastvrije eigenaren.

Lovely 1 night stay

We had such a lovely relaxing stay at Russet. It’s been renovated to such a high standard, nothing has been scrimped on. My only negative (and I feel so bad saying it) is that the shower is just way too small. I’m 4ft10 , size 10 and I needed the shower doors open to be able to wash my hair. My partner who is 5ft8 really struggled. This is the only negative as we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We loved the animals and Jo and Marcus were lovely and welcoming. Thanks for your hospitality :)

Sehr schöne und liebevoll eingerichtete Unterkunft in der Nähe von Bristol.

Der Urlaub war sehr schön. Die Gastgeber sind sehr nett und die Unterkunft ist für zwei Personen zwar nicht sehr groß aber ausreichend. Und hast nichts gefehlt. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Dusche konnte etwas größer sein, aber das wäre auch das einzige... Vielen Dank für die schöne Woche

A lovely little conversion really well located for walking and many lovely places close for driving.

A warm welcome from Jo on arrival with fresh bread butter and milk to greet us. Peaceful location but easy access to more busy environments. Comfortable a clean. Helped to create a lovely break for us. Thanks Jo and Marcus and family.
