"We booked a room that was advertised as a double room, but after checking in, we discovered that the bed was far too small to be considered a standard double. It was more like a slightly wider single bed, and two average-sized adults could barely fit on it. I raised the issue with the reception, but the only response I received was an apology and that the hotel was fully booked, so there was nothing they could do. "Good hotel for a short stay, a bit dated but good. Positives: Friendly staff, good size room, clean. The not so great: Breakfast is the biggest disappointment. The choice is minimal and quality should be better. If the breakfast options included fried eggs or pouched eggs and the supplied bread, jam and sausage quality would be better the rating would be much higher."

"Easy and convenient for us travelling to and from the F1 daily, if you are staying more than 1 night be aware the room does not come with a fridge we found out the hard way, was advised by reception you need to book a plus room… would have been handy to know this prior to check in. A toaster and some cutlery would have been a nice addition to basic ammenities for the room. Rooms are not serviced unless you request at reception. Hotel was quiet for the few hours a day we were there"

"In the bathroom it could have a handle to hold onto when getting out of shower and some more sockets at side of beds other then that it was clean and staff friendly"

"Location and staff great. Pub below venue is closed and for sale but good pub food a 5 minute walk away. Property in need of air conditioning for summer stays though although a fan is provided which is insufficient to cool the room. Location overlooking the lake and bird life is superb and car park fees go to the park upkeep so are justified. Overall good but too hot in the room."
