Acerca de este alojamiento

Abbett Placer Historic Cabin

  • A historic 7-bedroom home from 1897, one block from Main Street with a private hot tub and expansive back deck.

A PIECE OF BRECKENRIDGE HISTORY, MADE FOR GATHERING

Tucked into Breckenridge’s Historic District, Abbett Placer Historic Cabin is more than a historic home—it is part of the story of Breckenridge itself. Built in the early 1890’s on what was once the Abbett placer mining claim, the home has been part of the town’s evolution from a mining community to the mountain destination it is today.

Just one block from Main Street, Abbett gives you an easy walk to the restaurants, shops, and energy of downtown while offering a quieter place to return to at the end of the day. The Peak 9 base area is roughly a 12-minute walk, and the Free Ride’s Purple Route stops about a minute away at French Street and Washington Avenue, connecting you with the BreckConnect Gondola, Rec Center, Main Street, and other destinations around town.

The back deck is the heart of the home’s outdoor experience, with expansive views toward Breckenridge Ski Resort and plenty of room to settle in together. Grill dinner, gather around the outdoor table, or unwind in the private hot tub while taking in the mountain views.

Inside, the home blends historic character with modern comforts. Four fireplaces and stoves are found throughout the home, while two separate living spaces give guests room to gather, relax, or find a little quiet of their own. The renovated kitchen is fully equipped for cooking together, with a large pantry, TV, and dining table with seating for eight.

Seven bedrooms are arranged across the home’s multiple levels, including four king bedrooms, two queen bedrooms, and a full bedroom, accommodating up to 14 guests. Six bathrooms throughout the home make the large-group configuration more comfortable. The lower-level king bedroom has direct access to the hot tub, while the top-level king bedroom opens onto its own deck with views of Breckenridge Ski Resort.

A lower-level kitchenette with a sink and microwave adds another convenient space for guests, and the private laundry room is equipped with a commercial washer and dryer.

At The Tenmile Collective, we believe an exceptional stay is about more than the home itself. It’s about the details, the local knowledge, and the care that goes into making your time here feel effortless. Our team is available to help with personalized concierge services and local recommendations, whether you’re planning your stay in advance or looking for a little local insight once you arrive. It’s our approach to curated care—thoughtful, personal, and rooted in knowing Breckenridge well.

Carter Park is a short walk away, with trail access for hiking and biking through the warmer months and one of Breckenridge’s favorite sledding hills once the snow returns. The Stephen C. West Ice Arena is about a 20-minute walk, with public skating and hockey sessions on select dates, as well as home games for the Breckenridge Vipers.

Abbett Placer is a home with a story, but it doesn’t ask you to give up the conveniences of today. Come for the history, stay for the location, and make this home your place to gather between adventures.

Traveling with an especially large group? Fox Den, another Tenmile Collective home, is just a short walk away—a convenient option for additional guests who want to stay nearby while having their own space.

    YOUR SPACE

Guests have exclusive access to the entire residence throughout their stay. The home is yours to enjoy, from the private bedrooms and living spaces to the kitchen and balcony, with all of the comforts of a home away from home.

A Tenmile team member is on hand to walk you through the home when you arrive, no lockbox scavenger hunt, no self check-in instructions to decode. Prefer to get settled on your own time? Self check-in is available too. Either way, we’re nearby and just a call away.
