WELCOME summer and Fall Bachelorette Parties for wine trail weekends or extended stay. ***If you are booking in July or August, it's a 7-day minimum, and a Saturday to Saturday checkout schedule. ***

WELCOME to Finger Lakes Wine Country and Keuka Lake! This exclusive private home is prepared for your family to relax and enjoy. We love improving it every year! The fully flat lot entitles guests to drive down a long private drive, parking off the road. The first floor provides a tremendous living room with a fireplace and TV, a fully renovated kitchen, and a dining room with a 10-foot farmhouse dining table and vaulted ceilings. The 3 sets of French doors allow a monumental view of Keuka Lake. No hillside staircases or obstacles detain you from 220 feet of private flat beach and large dock. Our new concrete "sea-wall" extends along the beach with wide custom concrete steps that allow you to walk right into the crystal clear water( added 2024). The main floor also provides 1 1/2 bathrooms and a new king-size bed in the main level guest room. The 2nd floor features a Primary bedroom with floor-to-ceiling window views of the lake. Also on the 2nd floor is a Children's room with a loft twin bed and full-sized bed, and a full bath with double sinks.
The lower-level "bonus room" provides window views of the lake and loft-style bunk beds, with a queen bed as well as a pack-n-play. We added new coffee bar (2025) with a wine fridge and keurig. The giant flat yard allows for families to play volleyball, football, cornhole, and more. Private Parking for 4 vehicles. You're definitely on the wine trail!! Over 20 private wineries and micro-breweries are less then 16 minutes away (check out our chalkboard in the kitchen for exact driving distance to wineries and breweries as a quick reference)! The home offers informational brochures for hundreds of vineyards, breweries, additional activities, and bars and restaurants. A tremendously expansive patio (and 2025 update- covered porch!!) with Adirondack chairs and outdoor dining is just steps from the crystal clear water of New York's best-kept secret. Our patio table and benches seats 10+. The house also offers a firepit with new additional Adirondack chairs as well as sunbathing loungers. Welcome to your Escape! July to September bookings must be a minimum of 7 days. Spring, Fall, & Winter bookings can vary. Check winery hours, as many wineries and breweries on the Finger Lakes wine trail are now open year round, with charter bus rentals available.

Even with the cold weather outside, the house felt warm, calm, and genuinely welcoming. We had a wonderful girls weekend at Birchwood Cottage. The views and access to the water was amazing! Great location and host! The covered back patio is perfect to enjoy Keuka Lake! Cottage was roomy, comfortable and clean. The huge couch and open concept was perfect to sit around and enjoy our weekend!

We enjoyed our stay. The fact it was back a driveway made for nice privacy. We enjoyed the level yard and that it was right on the water. The kitchen was we'll supplied and overall very spacious. It was decorated very tastefully and we enjoyed the back veranda. Beautiful spot to sit and sip coffee in the morning. We would have enjoyed some screens in the windows so that we could have opened the windows and sliding glass doors as the weather was perfect.

We had a fantastic family trip. The best kept secret is the beach area - we had a blast just hanging in the water, felt safe and away from any boat activity. Close to a playground to give the kiddos another activity, and great location to golf too! Trying to work it into our vacation rotation again.

We loved that the house had an open concept. We could all be together as a family whether you were in the kitchen, living room or dining room. The new patio where we spent most of our time has a large table that accommodated all of us for eating our meals and playing games. It also provided us with a shaded area during that very hot week. Another great week on Keuka Lake with my wife, daughters and their significant others, and my three grandchildren. Responsive host. Easy parking. Grandkids love the water and at this property it’s very easy to monitor them so they can spend hours each day, getting in and out whenever they want. My family travels a lot, including internationally, and this is always their favorite vacation.

My entire family had an amazing stay at Birchwood Cottage. The new covered porch allowed us to be outside no matter the weather. When indoors the air conditioning worked well and we were comfortable at all times. Drew was easy to contact whenever we had questions or concerns. We’ve already booked the cottage for next year and hope to return.

Great place!

Perfect for us. The swimming and fishing were great! Very private, lots of room, great level yard. Easy to run up to the Y Knot, Blue Eagle or into Branchport. Great house, love the covered patio!

Beautiful, Relaxing, Fun Stay on Keuka Lake

Birchwood Cottage is a gorgeous retreat. It is beautifully decorated, cozy, stocked with amenities, and has views that make you never want to leave. It has plenty of space to host a family getaway- yard space for games, a covered patio to take a break from the heat, spacious rooms and kitchen, and a beautiful lakefront view.We rented kayaks, paddleboards, and a lily pad, and had a fun-filled 4 days at Keuka Lake!There were a few minor snafus including lights not working upstairs, an empty propane tank and dirty grill, and an inoperable Firestick remote for the tv.The most notable, however, were the safety concerns about the dock and steps leading into the water. -The dock has multiple boards that are uneven, unscrewed or loose. It is a severe tripping hazard. A member of our party took a nasty tumble on the dock. Additionally, the last two steps leading into the water were so slippery that we had to find a means to clean it ourselves to avoid other spills. Hopefully Drew will address those issues for future guests.It really is an amazing place to stay and is highly recommended!

Cousins Trip!

My female cousins, sisters and I go on annual trip every year. We had a wonderful time. Great Location, clean, comfortable, spacious and well equipped. We really enjoyed the back patio. We ante several meals out there when it wasn’t too windy! We also really loved being right on the lake!! We fished off the dock and had a really great time catching 53 fish on our trip! We threw them all back, but it was still great fun! We visited several wineries, and pottery shops! We will definitely be back!! Thank You!

Girls Trip

Amazing house with all the necessities and rooms we needed to celebrate a girls weekend and turning 60! We lived on the covered outdoor patio (a huge plus) when we weren't touring all the local wineries. Not enough days to do everything we wanted, but the location was perfect! The region is stunning and we are already planning a trip back! Thanks for offering your beautiful home!

Perfect location by lake

The cottage is location worked perfectly for our group, even though we stayed in late November, we enjoyed the morning lake views. The cottage itself is as described, tasty decoration. Kitchen was equipped sufficiently to meet our 10 people. Sheets and beds were comfortable, I only wish we had few more bathroom towels . Overall we had wonderful time.

Girl’s Weekend

Fabulous lakeside getaway

We had a multigenerational family vacation at this lovely and well-appointed lake house. We loved the ever changing views of the lake over the course of the day, the easy access to the water via the dock and beach and the comfortale house with lots of different spaces for gathering and sleeping. We would definitely recommend this property and would love to come back!

Family fun

Love our stay here.Love the bed downstairs.Wish there was a fireplace as it says.Think a canopy could be provided so visitors could have access to some shade.Explain better about garbage to the street because both times it’s been slap full when we arrived.I have a bad back unable to take theirs and mine all the way down to the road.Half bath not very usable due to seat all over the place.plastic nuts stripped.But we love it just some quirks

One Major Disappointment

This was our second year in the same rental unit. We had expected to make it three years straight by reserving the same week for next summer. We were terribly disappointed to learn the entire summer of 2025 was already booked. Perhaps because our experience with Florida rentals is that renters in any given time period are almost always given priority for the same period in the following year, we were mildly stunned by our discovery. I do not believe rental reservations should be allowed more than a year in advance. If there is a situation where the owner of the rental unit expects to use the property for a special event of their own the following year, the renters in any given year should be told in advance the property will not be available at the same time the following year. In fact, the renters can even be told the property will be available in two years, although that need not be done. We have, however, seen both such actions taken in Florida.

Beautiful Retreat

We loved the views of Keuka lake. We often had 12 hours of sun and we were able to swim and and use our own kayak many days. The house had ample parking and a large beachfront. Fortunately, my son in law brought us a canopy to allow us some shade on cloudless days. The house was comfortable… we were a large group of mixed ages and prepared food in the kitchen most evenings. Unfortunately there was a power outage (not the owners fault) and we weren’t able to open the majority of the windows which had no screens. But even so, we’ve already booked for next year.

Beautiful house

If you know anything about the Finger Lakes you know how rare a large flat lot with a lot of privacy is and this property has both of those things. The house itself is very clean and decorated really cute. The bedroom on the main floor does not have a ceiling which isn’t an issue if you put the early risers in that room but could be a problem for someone who wants to sleep in as its right off the kitchen and there really is no way to be quiet to not wake up whoever is in that bedroom. My only very minor complaint is that there are no chairs around the fire pit so I would recommend bringing your own. Otherwise this house has everything you need and the owner is very responsive. We locked ourselves out one day and they immediately helped us get back in. Would love to stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a Keuka rental.
