Spend your vacation time up north in one of the most iconic log cabins in the area – just 2 hours from the Twin Cities! The cabin located steps from the lake and is equipped with many fun things to enjoy during your visit. The shoreline is rocky and sandy. The lake is a great fishing lake! Jump into one of the kayaks or the paddleboat to explore the lake, read a book, or take a nap in the hammock.

Relax on the expansive deck with a full dining table, rocking chairs and Webber grill. Settle in for an evening around the firepit in an Adirondack chair to watch the sunset, enjoy smores and time with friends and family while the kids enjoy a game of ping pong or basketball in the garage.

We came from Bemidji and met our family that lives in the Twin Cities for a great weekend away. It was a perfect location for us all. We watched our daughter at a dance competition then spent the rest of the weekend hanging out spending time together. The house was large and inviting, giving us enough space to all feel comfortable, yet with a warm and cozy feeling. The property was fully equipped with everything we needed. Overall, a wonderful experience and stay. Before we left, we all agreed we’d love to come back again sometime in the near future!

The property is amazing. About 25 minutes away from Brainerd, but still fun and quiet and beautiful. Would’ve loved to been earlier in the year so we could’ve used the boat. Definitely a nice place to stay.

Lovely property and neighborhood. Lots of room for everyone. The kids had a great time with the lilypad and the kayaks and paddleboat. Nicely equipped with games and a nice fire pit!

I cannot say enough about this log home. It is beautiful, the craftmanship is amazing. With the living areas on all three areas, each family unit had their own floor and therefore privacy, yet we were all together. One of the most delightful aspects of the home is the covered porch. We lived out there. It's not on a great lake for swimming or fishing, but it was restful and beautiful to sit and enjoy.

We could not have been more pleased with our stay at this property. The property is clean, has all the amenities we needed and was perfect to hold our 12 teens and adults. The boat dock is wonderful and the kayaks were awesome for the boys to take out to the lake. Kids had great dock fishing. Plenty of space for us to spread out in the house. Five Stars. Highly recommend!

We decided to do a family trip this year in lieu of Christmas gifts for the first time last year. This stay was the resulting trip! It was 3 families, so being able to have our own bathrooms was perfect. There was plenty of space everywhere! We loved taking the kayaks out in the morning, going for walks and runs in the neighborhood, and Mike was able to connect us with someone to rent a pontoon from. Everyone in the neighborhood was so friendly and it was peaceful and quiet. We enjoyed not being directly in Brainerd/Nisswa and coming after labor day meant traffic was a little less and the weather was perfect. We would definitely stay here again!

Immediately notified property manager of many unsafe conditions and no effort was made by owner to resolve the simplest of life safety issues. The interior and exterior railings serving loft are unsafe and do not meet building code. We did not allow little kid to go upstairs to loft. It appears that the entire lower-level bedrooms (2), and family TV room were done without permit or inspections. Electrical system has many unsafe issues including, missing interconnected smoke detectors at each level per building code. Lower level (basement) bedrooms missing smoke detectors in each room and are also missing combo smoke/carbon monoxide detectors within 10' of exterior (hallways) of bedrooms. Property was apparently not used for some time and was very dirty upon arrival - host returned our cleaning fee. We took many photos of conditions to substantiate our claims here. We invite owner to contact us directly if any questions. We would also like owner to provide a partial refund as this property is not safe. Property manager reports owner signed an agreement stating property is safe to occupy - it is not! We ended up leaving a day early and notified property manager of such in advance, we just did not feel safe at this property.

Our stay was a perfect summer get away. The log home was just as described with plenty of room for our children, a couple of friends and my in laws. The home was clean with everything we needed for a week stay. Lake was beautiful, swam and fished everyday and plenty of “Instagram moments” for the kids. Thanks for sharing it with us.
