"Great location, easy check-in. Caravan was everything but luxurious. It was very dirty. We find old sweet papers under the bed. I would not return it is not worse the value. Despite of this we had a great stay in the island. "

"Beautiful little cottage with a vintage chic vibe. Stunning views from both of the bedroom windows, although not from the garden as the hedge was too high.We really loved the location close to the river with easy access to cafes and lovely walks along the beach and tow paths. The beds and sofas were comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. We enjoyed a very chilled and relaxing 4 days and would consider returning in the future."

"No checking in service at all. No prior instructions were given. We were helped into our apartment by the lady who owns the jewellers downstairs. We were woken at 6.45am on a Sunday to the sound of scaffolders and a traffic management company setting up to commence install scaffolding at 7am on the building we are in with no prior communication from the host this would be happening otherwise I wouldn't have booked there. "A very cosy, comfortable place to stay to explore the surrounding area. Just a few minutes from beaches, local towns and historic places to explore. Lamb Barn had everything we needed for a week's stay and the owners were very helpful and approachable. As others have mentioned the noise from the road was the negative. Dog friendly with an enclosed garden and super dog bean bag that out wee dog loved."

"Old Carriage House converted into a wonderful apartment. We loved the location of this stay. We were just a short walk down from Colchester Castle and High Street, where we could find a wide range of pubs, restaurants, and shops. The city centre train station was just a short walk away as well. Thank you to our host for the awesome check-in and also for the lift to the "other" train station for our trip back into London. If we are ever in the Colchester area again, we will definitely stay...
